I’ve used the chalk to mark my fabrics and these pens work so much better for me simply because of better precision. The ink disappears right away when you apply heat. I also like that it comes with different colors and a small ruler!

They were all packed in a clear plastic sleeve. Each cartridge has a plastic cap on the end to keep the fluid from getting on everything. Once I assembled the cartridge in the pen I checked to see if they marked immediately, and they did! The white was light at first, but became more distinct after a few moments, certainly no complaints. The seam gauge was with the package, can you ever have enough? (I use them often for quilting and sewing). They also are a quick straight edge when I don’t need a big ruler.

These have been great. It was easy to mark on the fabric - the varitey of colors has enabled me to mark on all fabrics I am using. It dried quickly and was visible through the time I worked with each project. The "ink" came out after ironing. Very satisfied

I tried the white pen and you can barely see it on black cloth. Even if you go over it multiple time, there is barely a mark and the mark disappears as you handle the cloth. The gauge (ruler) is a very cheap piece of flimsy aluminum. Do not recommend.

I've never dared to get into embroidery because I couldn't just eyeball making straight lines. And then I took a sashiko class and we were drawing the lines, but using powdered dry pencils, and they'd disappear too quickly. But I came home and started watching sashiko videos, and that's how I learned about these pens. And it made the sashiko much easier and I'm excited to see what else I can now try.As for this pen versus others that seem exactly the same - I like that you get refills to a standard pen. You do have to have a bit of faith in the white. It looks very light when you first mark it, but it does get more visible as it dries. All of the colors seem to wear off with just as much heat as my hands can generate pretty well.I am very pleased.

Ink runs out really fast, but great to use

These have been wonderful for drawing my quilting lines. I wish you could buy only the colors you use. I find the white pen is the one I use most often. Once I sew over the lines I’ve drawn, the lines are easily removed using my iron. I’ve tried many different types of marking tools, and I have found this brand has been the easiest to use. Great product.

All the colors worked well to mark and disappear with the application of heat. The white seemed dry and very light and hard to use to mark fabric. Here is a TIP - I out the white fully assembled white pen in a glass of hot tap water (not boiling water) and let it set in the hot water for a few minutes. After taking the pen out of the glass, dried it off, took off the top and then ran the white marking pen over material a few times and it began to work perfectly. The white also disappeared when heat was applied. I would by these again!
