These blanket stakes are very helpful. They're a lot larger than I thought and its easy to slide the towel onto them. Only thing is I caught the towel sliding out halfway every now and then and I had to slip it back in.

MUCH bigger that I expected, yet perfect for what I needed. For the people that say their beach towel slides out, I can see how. I use a small down-filled, oversized throw for a picnic blanket, which I thought was going to be too big for these, but they’re perfect!

I know this is supposed to be for beach towels, but this is my second set and I've found they work decently as string anchors for lightweight tents, and also for being a "brake" for small carts on grass that may otherwise roll away (if you leave them sticking up a bit). I also love these for beach towels - they take up little room, but keep the corners from blowing away, while also preventing you from unpacking your entire bag just to weigh your spot down. As an island dweller, these do just the trick.
