I was a bunch of cash but I can turn on a lathe with 100 % clear air in my lungs while I am covered with dust. Lightweight- don't realize it is on. I would buy again. Mr. Dawes

Unfortunately it came with an inert battery. Not just dead but would not take a charge.

Works well in my bowl turning work. Keeps me away from most of the dust. The battery life is a concern. I've had it for a year of occasional use and it seems to only take a charge for 6 hours of use. Since the battery is VERY expensive to replace, this whole thing may have been a poor buy. Turns a relatively cheap hobby into an expensive one.

Way too expensive, but does exactly what I needed it to do. For wood turning it protects my face from flying debris. It also protects my lungs which was really becoming a problem. For me it was money well spent.Put the belt around your waist, click the hose to the helmet, turn it on and wear the helmet. Easy. After using it a couple of times I don't even notice I'm wearing it.

After 18 months of use, the blower unit died. 3M did replace the unit but it was a hassle. Now it keeps turning off saying the battery is dead even though it is fully charged.Have had consistent problems with the unit since I bought it!Do not buy!

As ordered.I do not believe this requires a medical examination or Fit test which is nice for having multiple people in my crew.Has a great quantity of air and even fits my big head.Ear muffs will be difficult to install but will not need them for our applicationThe overall system is comfortable

I now feel naked without it. Or say Versaflo dependent. So comfortable and functional that I wear it all the time, and that is the point.I am more comfortable with it on than off.I am finding so many uses for this that I am already looking at the 600 unit for vapors.A far reach for home use at this price but the benefits from these units is clear and immediate. These units were designed for industry, where the high cost is offset by the cost of healthcarefor workers that develop work related respiratory illnesses.Consequently, the design and function achieves the highest level possible, SUPERB,but the price point is high for an individual to purchase. In my case, lung function is starting to interfere with every activity I cherish.I now work at the fastest pace possible in very harsh environments without even a speck of dustgetting on my entire head. My mouth and nose are particle free after hours of the toughest work.I use the 300 around my home for workshop, garage and yard work after being diagnosed with lung disease. So I am mostly using it for particle abatement.I use a SAS full face mask for chemical vapors and am saving for a TR 600 model next. The 600 will replace all these units. We are using the 300 every day. There are so many uses.I am amazed at all the features and design, possible modifications and attachments.Great thought went into the details of this product. Each industrial use was thought out and tailored attachments were created.Just look at the 3M website. It fits very well....For the amount of equipment I am wearing, I am comfortable.I am actually more comfortable working with it on than off because it is so protective. The 300 is easy to slip on and off or adjust on the move. The face shield lifts easily and snaps back down into place for quick conversations or rest. The "glass" is easily replaced and many parts and configurations are available.Look into shield protectors, part M-925 Peel Off visor covers. The 300 series is designed for particle removal, but has worked well when spreading and spraying chemicals as it stops any droplets or particles in the air.We just have to be careful where the intake is placed and where spray is traveling. There are Nuisance Grade filters available part 3800 E which are geared toward arresting some spray vapors. This said, the 3800 filter is not intended equipment for paint and other light organic vapors. If you need to remove light organics such as Toluene from paint vapors, the 600 is the unit for that purpose. Although these work environments should have some sort ofremoval system at the source, so the work area is relatively treated. This set comes with M 300 Hard Hat model. The M 300 is the best they make.An M 100 is also available. If you want lighter head wear, look at the S 133 TyVek style head coverwhich is very light weight and would do for much light use with indoor clothing. The M 300 Hard Hat model can protect your head from collisions as well as any Hard Hat.The Hat is very adjustable and is easy to slip on and adjust over a hooded shirt or clothing.

Should have bought this a year ago when I was trying to revive my Triton helmet, it would have saved me some money (and a lot of frustration) in the long run. Expensive but very worthwhile if you work with dust of any type.

Excellent quality, fit, and performance. Kind of costly but not nearly as much as lung disease is. Field of vision one of the best I've seen or used.
