3M 5952 Heavy Duty Mounting VHB Tape is black, double-coated VHB adhesive tape with an acrylic foam core. A modified acrylic adhesive is on both sides of very conformable foam which provides adhesion to the broadest range of substrates/surfaces, including most powder coated paints. Comes on a red film release liner.
3M VHB Tape provides the convenience and simplicity of a tape fastener and are ideal for use in many interior and exterior bonding applications. In many situations, they can replace rivets, spot welds, liquid adhesives, and other permanent fasteners. Recommended to use 4 square inches of 5952 VHB tape for every 1 pound of load; although rough surfaces may require additional tape. These VHB tapes are made with an acrylic foam which is viscoelastic in nature. This gives the foam energy absorbing and stress relaxing properties which provides these tapes with their unique characteristics. The acrylic chemistry provides outstanding durability performance and the tapes have excellent durability and excellent solvent and moisture resistance. Country of Origin: United States.

Powerful adhesive pull strength. I think the spec says 30 pounds per square inch of tape but check that for yourself. Five years ago I used it to hold solar panels on the roof of our RV so that I don't have to make holes in the roof. Of course I test it at the start of every season with all the pull I dare apply without breaking the panels. Speeds up to 75 mph and the panels are still there.. .More recently I used it to support the glass panel table top beneath the surrounding steel frame of our patio table. (The original plastic clips had failed and would allow the glass to fall.) The resulting supporting bond is far stronger and safer than the original clips.

Sent seemingly fake 3M with the yellow interior roll, have only just tried it now (after buying it a while ago) and it's awful. Nothing like the genuine 3M VHB that I have used in the past, does not match the product images and most importantly, does not stick well at all.

This tape has a strong adhesive and can be used to attach flares and molding to vehicles. It's the same tape GM used to attach the fender flares to my pickup truck, so this is what I used to reattach them after doing some body work.This tape is NOT easy to remove - but you don't want ease of removal for this application! The tape can be removed with a solvent such as GoofOff when you do need to remove it, but is essentially permanent when used as intended.

We bought the 3M Scotch 595 2 VHB Tape to use on a van build, we needed to hook down a plastic part on the roof of the van.The tape stuck down really good and the thickness was perfect for the application we used it for.The quality was good and we didn't have any problems with it.We would buy it again.

Very good quality double sided tape. Needed for mounting LED lights on the back of my TV. Excellent quality but the protective tape is a PITA to pull off. Patience is the essence but it finally goes off

Used it on my car window rain guards on a 65 degree sunny day. Sticks well so far. Drove on the highway an hour later and still intact. I bought this tape because of the thickness (45 mil). So far so good. I used 90 percent of the roll for 4 rain guards.
