Your cart is empty.The 3M Hookit Flexible Marine Fairing Board is designed specifically for the sanding work that is crucial to professional-grade marine fairing. This tough lightweight board features a flexible facing that conforms to the subtle curves of your boat or personal watercraft allowing for very consistent sanding and limiting rework. It measures 30 inches long – great for a wide range of boats and personal watercraft – by 4.5 inches wide to match standard sandpaper sizes. A double-handle design allows you to grasp the sanding board quickly and securely. It also features 3M Hookit attachment – nylon loops on the facing side of the board instantly grip the J-shaped hooks on 3M Hookit abrasive rolls and sheets making it fast and easy to apply on the board. I am happy with the vendor that I bought this from.This product works very well and could easily be rated MUCH higher.The issue is that it is VERY difficult to get the abrasive sheets to use with this.I have not been able to cross reference off brand solutions.So 3M is the only source.But 3M won't sell the rolls for this device in anything but case (Qty 6) quantities, making it expensive to the point of being impractical for a non business user.It is a $70 sanding board that you have to spend $300 PER GRIT of sandpaper that you want to use with it. Unless you are a business using this device daily, consuming paper at that rate, it is completely impractical.I have been in contact with distributers and 3M themselves. No one has been able to be helpful in finding a solution.

This was invaluable when fairing my fiberglass boat. The velcro is perfect. You don't have to buy expensive 3ft pieces of sand paper. You can buy the smaller ones and stick several end to end. The velcro holds it. But, the board is brittle. If you bang it around, it will break.
