I'm currently building out the interior of my two-story cabin. Lifting building materials and drywall mud up to the loft is tedious and challenging at times. I had the opportunity to order this hoist to facilitate heavy and bulky lifting to the loft. I have it mounted on a center beam in the ceiling where it can reach down to the main floor.The hoist has a 25ft cable and can lift at a speed of 16ft/min. Lifting capacity is 1100lbs.It has a built in handle which incorporates a rocker switch so it's handy for use as a portable winch.The unit comes with a 19ft wired remote and two wireless remotes with a 200ft range, making it convenient to operate from the loft or the main floor.Overall, this hoist offers great utility, functionality, strength, and value for its price. It has certainly made lifting materials up to the loft a much easier affair.

Using this to lift a platform from the floor of the garage up to the attic. It's a good 20 ft and so ladders were impractical except for maybe christmas lights. I'm still experimenting with how to make it more stable. Once I get it 'perfect' I'll circle back with some pictures.I got this model because it's very flexible in how you use it because I honestly wasn't sure how I was going to make it work. This electric hoist winch supports three control methods: manual control, 19ft wired remote, and 200ft wireless remote. It flexibly adapts to various applications and that's what sold me. It says it lifts 1,100 lbs. I'll never be testing that. I'm lifting me and seasonal crap I don't like junking up the garage. I've showed this to my neighbor who also ordered one. He thinks he can do it better. We shall see. Solid recommendation. Thanks.

Our son is away at college, and my husband does a lot of projects that involve using heavy pieces of materials and equipment. Things he cannot lift by himself. This hoist is helping him to keep on functioning without hurting himself. He said it operates very smoothly even with the heavy load, and it isn't loud. He really likes the remote control so that he doesn't have to be in any specific spot to get the hoist working when he's ready for it. We also used it to tow our truck with a Kawasaki mule, and it worked perfectly. He's very happy with this hoist and said it's a great value for a homeowner for what you're getting.

Hook up was easy enough, but I built a heavy-duty ceiling frame to attach it to. It has more winching power than I need, but it works really well for hoisting storage tubs. It comes with everything I needed, including the mounting hooks. I will keep this stored in the back of my Jeep Wrangler for emergency situations. The manual wired remote works well, but the wireless remote is incredibly handy.
