These are the best anchors for BRICK for two reasons.1) They are less likely to split the brick. With single expansion you create a 'wedge' effect that has a small contact area that can easily split brick.2) They provide uniform and higher pull out strength as compared to single expansion. The double expansion provides a much larger surface are to grip the brick or concrete.If you are installing in concrete you don't have to worry about splitting the concrete if you use single expansion, but the double are still much stronger.Never put these in mortar.Tip: When using concrete or brick anchors drop a bead of pure silicone into the anchor threads. As strong as these anchors are, in larger sizes - 3/8ths or larger - vibration can loosen the machine screw. A drop of silicone fixes that and is easier and less expensive than using thread lock.
