The vale marketed for my furnace is well over $100 USD. This one did the trick, attached the coil from the 1/4" DC 24V to the body and its a perfect fit.

These are terrific for a RODI system that you may want to automate in some way. Simply connect it to a 24V power supply and then control it using a timer or relay. For those that use RODI with a marine aquarium (most everyone) and you use an aquarium controller with 24V outputs, this is more or less the same branded unit without the fancy housing for much less $$. Good value solenoid valve.

This works great. Have a new coffee maker and the water tank is too narrow to fit even a small float valve. So using an electronic water level sensor, hooked to this valve. Been working great, at least these last several months. The water is coming from a RO system in the kitchen.

Works very well. I've setup wth arduino on our plant wall to control the watering.

This would consistently fail to turn off completely and as a result caused water leaks. That's a deal breaker for me.

This is a one-way valve. Ensure you pay attention to the flow arrow on the bottom of the valve.

I purchased a few of these and have tried two. Both do activate with my 12VDC 5A power supply (there's a 0.5 second delay). I expected less of a pressure drop, though. I purchased the 3/8" push-to-connect version. and if I blow through it, it feels like I am blowing through a skinny coffee stirrer. I did measure the pressure and it hit about 0.3MPa and the product says up to 0.8MPa, so the product's pressure range is accurate. The 3/8" standard tubing I bought has a maximum pressure of 0.4MPa. The running pressure is somewhat lower, but the pressure drop through this valve seems a little high for components of this size. I am just testing this, so I don't know about longevity. Consider this before purchasing for your application.

I think that the only way these will work right is if there's some good pressure behind the water to PUSH it through this thing when the valve is open.To use it to "drain" a container, is very difficult because when the valve opens, it still restricts the flow of water. It doesn't appear to open the passage way 100%.I should have bought the larger one, 3/8.

Does not match specifications. Is described as G1/2, British standard. But photo proves (is flat at peak and valley of threads) that male 1/2 connection is American standard, and is parallel not tapered. It is therefore 1/2 NPS not G1/2.
