I ran a few test cuts on a piece of 4140 scrap and was impressed with the results. The surface finish was very nice and the cutter showed no signs of deflection, etc. I took off a star because the bit is not marked in any way. I'd expect to be able to read the shank diameter, end radius and maybe some hint about the material.

Two for the price of one, now that’s a deal and a half…. I mean really, it’s a nice option instead of having to have two of each bits as a backup, with this you just flip it over and soldier on….So far this ball mill has done a great job for me, I’ve been doing more milling lately and branching out into the different types of mill bits instead of just end mills, so I might not be an expert on the whole milling process, but I know enough to know when a bit is cutting material good, and I’ve used this quite a bit yesterday and it seemed t do a great job, no rough spots or rough seams, everything g was clean and smooth so as far as I’m concerned this but works great, and I hope I get a lot of use out of it, especially with it being double ended so it should automatically last twice as long as a single end mills…If you need a good mill this one is working great for me so far, so give her a try
