As a tech guy I'm used to soldering and heat shrink. These are fantastic. All 12 I used worked with no failures. Time will tell if they oxidize but even so, easy and inexpensive to replace. Perfect for wiring an old boat or car.

I love these when they work. There must be a manufacturing issue as I've thrown out almost 10 of these because the lever broke when I opened it. Would love to give this a higher review but I threw out too much to do so. When it works, it makes connections so much easier.

I have a problem in two of my properties where the light/electricity at some part of the building can come off by itself. Fortunately, both were not happening at the same time. For the first one, I called an electrician, and it took him two hours to figure out what happened and pinpoint the bad connectors where a strong vibration can disconnect them microscopically ( basically you cannot see the disconnection and only measurable by a volt meter ). I didn't know that an electrical connection can do that, and then the same thing happened to another property several times ( connect and disconnect by itself ) and I just simply trace the line from the main box to the affected area and replace all connections with this very handy gadget. Five connections in two junction boxes and it took me, a DIYer that chooses to shy away from any electrical things before, less than an hour from start to finish. If you try to fix an old house you might need a wall scanner to find hidden wires and junction boxes. That is how I found one of the troubled junction boxes, behind a solid wall.
