I mounted this lens to a Fuji xe2. Lens is very compact and heavy. Which is good. It’s mostly metal and seems to have great build quality. The focus throw is smooth and the few images I’ve taken so far have been sharp. The aperture stops don’t click or lock in place. I got this lens specifically because reviewers stated that the aperture ring had click increments. I don’t like how it’s all smooth. The aperture action feels the same as the focus. I’m keeping the lens as it was inexpensive and seems to take great photos and has a very nice build quality. I’ll probably use it for a portrait or nighttime lens. I wanted clock stops so I could throw it in my jacket pocket and quickly pull it out without worrying if aperture moved. Very nice lens otherwise

Nice solid lens, it does not feel cheap. I purchased the lens for my Nikon Zf. I put it on my camera but it seems it is not made for full frame cameras. It creates a black halo so there’s always a black outer circle. I also don’t like that my camera can’t read the F stop. There’s a lot of guessing involved when trying to take a nice picture. Also, removing the lens from the camera is not an easy feat. It’s hard to grip and there’s a lot of slipping.Unfortunately I’ll have to return this since it is basically not usable for my camera.

This lens is unbelievable!Back in the late '60's the first camera I bought was a fixed lens Canon rangefinder that I sold it to buy a used Leica 3F. That Leica was a disaster... I couldn't even load the film successfully. I finally sold it and bought a used Nikon F that was my only camera through art school and it was reliable and almost bullet proof. Over many decades I used many different camera formats through my years of photography- products, portraits and travel- and currently use only Fujifilm X-Pro and XT.When I saw the Brighten Star 35mm f/0.95 lens for $200 I was expecting it to be a piece of cr*p but I was too curious not to order one... and wasn't I surprised! It is a solid, well designed, well machined lens that has the functional attributes of the $13,295.00 Leica 50mm f/0.95 minus the Aspherical Element ( 35mm ASPC is the equivalent of 50mm 35MM).

I've tried pretty much all the ultra-fast 35mm lenses on my Fuji system. Most of them have been quite good, especially when stopped down to f/2.8 or f/4, but my copy of Brightin Star 50mm/0.95 is a cut above the rest. Even wide open, performance is surprising, showing good center sharpness. There's a slight contrast reduction and a bit of haloing at f/0.95, always to be expected with an ultra-fast lens, but it is still quite useable, and actually offers a very pleasing, vintage look to photos. By f/2, it's very sharp in the center, with sharpness falling off towards the edges of the frame. Out of focus areas are nicely rendered with smooth transitions, and the bokeh is lovely. Solid 5 stars for both performance and value. If I could, I'd give it a sixth star because it has a click-stop aperture ring, which I very much appreciate.

Por un precio tan bajo da muy buenos resultados pero recomiendo usar en foto modo RAW (todo luce hermoso). En video lo uso con mi Panasonic en modo V Log y el resultado igualmente es hermoso. No hay distorsión de colores. Muy recomendable

For the very low price, you get an amazing lens that creates a very cinematic, dreamy and creamy shot! I mostly keep the aperture all the way open to utilize the f/0.95 feature, and if the quickest shutter speed doesn’t make the image dark enough when you’re out in the sun, I add on an ND filter to add more details into the highlights. At nite, you can take non-grainy shots with no problem! This very quickly became my favorite lens!

I’ve used this lens for around 2 weeks and it’s become a favorite of mine. Manual focusing is a tricky skill but it’s gotten easier over time. I have been using this alongside the Sigma 30mm 1.4 and the Brightin Star lens is sharper and faster (they do get similar results the more you stop them down). The only time I would opt for the Sigma instead is if I need autofocus (I do need to update the firmware as it’s a little unreliable on my R7 right now).I’ve used several manual lenses on my Canon R7 since there aren’t many options for lenses especially 3rd party so I definitely recommend this one as it has phenomenal optics and you won’t fire a faster lens than this. It’s tricky to nail focus at .95 but when you do, it’s very sharp. It came recommended to me by some other YouTubers who raved about it and they were t wrong. It’s perfect for street photography since it’s small. As opposed to most of my lenses, it adapts natively to my Canon since it comes in an RF mount. That really lessens the footprint. It is a little heavy since it’s made of all metal but not having an adapter more than balances things out.If you’ve never tried a manual lens before but are in the market for a fast, all around solid lens, I’d say get this one over spending over twice as much for the Canon 35mm 1.8. Autofocus is always great but if you don’t shoot moving subjects, I think you’ll find this lens and other manual focus lenses lead to more thoughtful photography.

BEFORE YOU BUY THIS LENS, PLEASE NOTE: there is an error in lens description. THIS IS NOT A FULL FRAME LENS. It is ASP-C LENS.Good built quality, good optics, very bright (F0.95!) and not expensive. I am using it wit Nikon Zfc.Designed to be used in MANUAL (M) mode which means you have to set focus, aperture, shutter and ISO on your own to obtain desired results using your camera light meter. Works also with other camera settings, except Auto, but don't forget to register non CPU lens in your camera settings.

I have been using this lens for a week with a Nikon Z50, and so far I am beyond impressed. Of course this camera does not begin to test the resolution as much as a Fuji or even a Canon would. But so far, sharp corner to corner wide open, no coma or flaring to speak of. Nice sun stars stopped down. Excellent focus and aperture rings. Nice contrast, albeit not brilliant. Extremely smooth bokeh. One very strange anomaly: they completely screwed up the aperture numbers - impossible to tell what they correspond to. Perhaps that’s one reason for the very low price…or perhaps one day it will be worth a fortune, like stamps printed with imperfections.

Despite the listing, this is not a full frame lens. Although this fits on full frame cameras, like the Sony A7iii, the camera will need to be switched into APS-C mode in order to use it.This should be listed as an APS-C lens as any APS-C lens can be used on full frame cameras but the result will be a downgrade in resolution or a heavy vignetting. I'll admit the posting discloses it in a small asterisk, however they should be far more forthcoming with that information. If you own a full frame camera I recommend saving your money.
