The pee fills in the foldable part and when you pick it up pee just pours out.

This dog grass pad is a good size for indoor or outdoor use. It’s washable and foldable, making it easy to clean and store. Practical for potty training and travel. Keeps things neat.

The grass pads fit perfectly into the included "tray. The tray is made of waterproof material that the washable pee pad is laid down first, then the artificial grass. This combination of grass and containment is one of the best options available for "inside" dogs. Although, since we've had unseasonably warm temperatures my older dogs are reluctant to go out. The brick pavers are too hot to walk on, the dirt is hot and the dogs don't like it. Now, they can use the indoor grass. It took a few days to convince them that it was actually okay to go outside. It didn't work -- so I modified it and put it on the screened porch so the dogs could go without stepping on the hot pavers. It is easy to clean, simply hose off the grass, and the pads wash & dry nicely.

I really like the concept of this pee pad for dogs, but my dog doesn't care for it much. I trained her on a pee pad, but she has a habit (a bad one) off peeing on a pad and then dragging it around the house. I thought that she would use this and leave it alone, as she does with grass, pee and leave. However, she won't get in it. Although it somewhat looks like grass, it doesn't fool her or make her think it's a pee place. She pees right next to it, and the pee puddles under the mat. I had a guest dog over one day and he used it, but also lifted his leg to the wall. A lot of the pee was caught on the grass pad, but it cuddled on top, it didn't flow down towards the pad. I ended up having to mop it up with paper towels.Like I said, I really like the concept - maybe more so for female vs male. I think if I had started my dog on this surface she'd be more agreeable. As of right now, I'm going to spray it off in the shower and pack it up for a gift to someone with a new puppy.
