Love this measuring device. Makes it soo much easier to focus on where the red dot is to make a final measurement judgment. I would recommend this to all contractors. Trying to figure out the end point of the laser, without a camera showing you the focus point outside in the daylight, is almost impossible. This tool makes it possible. 10out of 10.

It was a little rough to understand directions if you’ve never used one before. Still working on it….

Build quality not as expectedNot a good brandNot proper manual.Tripod supplied is like a toyI measured up to 45m in daylightLack of remote control and other connectivity.Without a remote control, can't measure precisely because, while pressing the button it shakes or changing target.I didn't see any slot to tie the strap. To find the charging port, I spent much time.I don't know how to calibrate angle.

Yep things I was looking for in this was the camera an the laser. The camera is great but takes a little to get used to. The laser at close rand is good however at 158 feet in daylight I couldn't see it at all. Nice otherwise though.

I was able to use it to get a measurement of my back yard - roughly 12000 sqft. For the purpose it worked fine. However, if you intended to use it on much shorter distance - like within a feet, it had quite a bit of error bar on top of the measurement. It’s good for the price, but I guess I get what I paid for.So far no complaints. The interface could be more intuitive, but works.

Bought the 665 ft expensive one and you’ll be lucky to get 1/8 th of that. My standard laser tape measure does over 100ft. This one didn’t even reach that far.Update: I was asked by the manufacturer to try the device again. I found out that the camera function is to be used to aim the device vs the actual weak red laser. This was not mentioned in the instructions which are not user friendly or clear. I’m a handyman so I know how to read instructions. After retrying the device it did work better than I originally stated. I compared it to my tape measure laser and it did read further than that. Sometimes it would get up to maybe 200 ft. But anything beyond that would give Error 16. Which means environment is preventing it from being able to make a measurement. Supposedly amount of moisture in air can impede it. One day it was overcast but dry, second time was on sunny cold day in Feb ( no snow on ground). Same thing Error 16. I guess I need to move Sahara to get it to work as advertised. It’s pushed hard as able to use outdoors and for its long distance reach. I believe it’s performance doesn’t match that in real world

Sadly disappointing - I thought I'd found a good solution, BUT the fact that they make a point in their description saying: "precise outdoor measurements... even under bright sunlight conditions." is a bold face lie. The device is marginally usable in full shade.- When I received it I initially tried it indoors on relatively short range measurements and was encouraged with the results. I'd purposely purchased the 656' range unit because I have an outdoor measurement that I knew would be over 400' over uneven ground that using this type of device would be very useful. Sadly, even when switching my attempted measurement to the other end where there was some shade the screen was unreadable do to wash-out.- If companies with this type of products would just get the memo: forget the onboard inferior screen attempt and just make this Bluetooth so I can use my phone as the display - you won't be able to in any way equal the screens on today's phones (and trying to use the same displays found on today's phones would needlessly drive the cost ridiculously high - just design to outboard the display to the phone in the first place).- Due to the unusable display, I paced-off 10 steps indoors and measured that distance, and then used that reference measurement to pace-off the full distance outdoors on a paved surface that ran parallel to the actual uneven ground course that we actually need to bury a conduit for a Fiber Optics cable. This got me within a safe margin of error distance approximation so we can proceed but was not the "precise outdoor measurement" that they had heavily advertised and I had purchased this device for.
