The product is not as sturdy as stated. The rails were bent and I had to spend $20 on screws that were missing from the packaging.

This Besiost 32 Inch L Shaped Overhead Storage Rack is relatively easy to install.Due to my particular installation of the first kit (yes, I purchased 2), I was actually able to assemble it without any additional assistance. Yes, it would've been a simpler install with, as suggested, 2 people; 1 experienced person + 1 strong teen helper.- It will take a bit of time to install = Took me a full day, by myself.- The material is sturdy and well made, I believe I have over 700 lbs on it so far. Note Here: One end is above a large refrigerator, the other is open, so I placed a 2x4 under that end. Just to make sure it did not fall overnight. It has not in 7 days, so pretty sure it will hold up.As noted from another review:-The packaging is not great = had some holes ripped in the ends and sides, but luckily nothing got lost. Thicker cardboard should be used with how heavy the components are.-Take extra time to plan out what is connecting to where in the joists. The measurements in the manual are kind of confusing.- Height Adjustable Garage Storage Organization System is great, once you figure out your configuration.- Use an impact drill with a 12mm socket (Use an impact drill with a 12mm socket not the phillips head deal.)- If you're doing this with drywall and a stud finder...I used a strong magnet, like that out of a computer hard drive.Overall, so far, this unit is working like a champ and I highly recommend it.

Finally received my garage storage racks. Opened & damaged box was placed into a larger box. Once I opened the exterior box I discovered the rails were damaged & bent.Obvious a damaged & returned item sold as new!

I'd give it 4.5 stars if Amazon allowed half stars.I ended up buying this ceiling-hung shelf for a corner of my basement that has an HVAC exhaust and the sump pump, which makes any kind of floor-based shelving difficult. Some notes/feedback:-Take extra time to plan out what is connecting to where in the joists. The measurements in the manual are kind of confusing.-Do NOT attempt to use a Philips head driver on a drill to drive the lag bolts. It WILL strip. Use an impact drill with a 12mm socket.-One out of my 16 lag bolts still stripped using an impact drill and socket.-If you do need a replacement lag bolt, 5/16" x 3⅛" structural screws are the same size. The T30 head ones drive so much better too.-I would reccomend adding another long bolt where the "rectangle" portion of the L-shape connects to the "square". You can see it circled in green in my last photo.-The manual doesn't have an option for mounting the brackets perpendicular to ceiling joists in the "L-shape" configuration, but does for the "straight like" configuration. I did have to mount one perpendicular to the joists, mainly because of other things running across my ceiling.-If you do run any perpendicular, I'm not sure if it was just the joists in my basement, but the holes seemed to be slightly off, favoring the outside of the joists slightly. If you're doing this with drywall and a stud finder...well, good luck.-The packaging is not great. I had to order twice because the first was "undeliverable". The second one came but the cardboard box was a bit worse for wear, and had some holes ripped in the end that luckily nothing got lost from. Thicker cardboard should be used with how heavy the shelf components are.I havent put much weight on it yet, but will update if anything changes.
