Throw the cheap ass lag screws they supply in the trash where they belong.Go buy god grade 6,7 lag screws.

I needed a system, that I could lift things in and out of storage.I'm going to add a 4'x4' piece of plywood on the rack, it will make it easier to slide things on and off.

Almost went with one of the high end storage lifts that cost about 8X what this storage solution cost. Figured I would roll the dice and to be honest I couldn't be happier. Installation really only required 1 person and instructions were very clear. Everything seems very sturdy and more than adequate for storing our artificial Christmas trees out of the way.

The ceiling brackets were over bent, which didn't cause to much issues installing. It would work great if not for the gearbox quality or something binding. Whenever you load the rack up to about 100 lbs and try to run the rack up at anything faster than a snail speed it binds up and stops. Then you have to let back down a little bit and then it'll continue going up. It takes about 2.5minutes to lift 100 lbs 6ft because of the binding.Still trying to decide to keep it or return it.
