It is not DOT approved. Will not hold a vacuum.

Mine is the 50 pounds capacity tank/bottle, and at this price-point it is of a good value.Overall, going by visual inspection, the finish and welded joints are real nice, and it definitely seems to have gone through a sound manufacturing process. The main Brass-fitting has a Y-Valve with two 1/4 SAE Flare for Liquid and Vapor. Also has a Brass bleed safety/release with a tap and 1/4 SAE Flare. It's the industry standard Grey/Yellow for R22/R134A/R410A, and especially useful for reclaiming from my home central A/C, 2x refrigerators, and vehicles - as the need arises - during repairs.Just attach a manifold gauge, a vacuum pump, purge it first, and we are good to go.

This item has been recalled by the DOT (for lack of compliance) and delisted by Amazon. They just keep creating new listings at super low prices to attract sales. The cylinder is NOT DOT compliant, unsafe and the blow off valve cracks easily (not protected at all). BUYER BEWARE!

No pressure test markings or date. Safety valve works but at a lower pressure than its rated for. I suppose thats better than the reverse
