Lowe's only sells BRASS colored ones, so this was merely for "AESTHETICS" reason. They work just fine, obviously teflon tape it up, but no leaks and isn't as jarring as brass against brushed nickle. As for why I needed 12ft of Handheld hose, easy, I use the master walk-in shower as a dog wash as well, and at 6ft it was just shy of my needs especially since my newest one (Foxhound/Rottweiler shelter pup) still isn't keen on baths, so he likes to hug the walls. Now I can bring the hose to him. As I said, fit my needs, better color matching, and when prepared properly, not experiencing any leaks. Would recommend.

I bought this to connect 2 cables for my bidet. I tried multiple ones from other places and it was not faithfully keeping the pressure well. This one, however was very good and keeping the water pressure without leakage.
