It did clean the top, but not as deeply as I thought it would. I applied the protectant after cleaning & water is beading off as advertised. For the price and the results I’d give it a 6/10

The cleaner brought the colour back to a sharp black and the sealer did just that. Roof had not been treated in a few years, and would seep in. In one treatment the water is beading and rolling right off

This stuff really works. My tan soft top was dirty and regular car was and rag wasn't cleaning it well. This removed the stains and offered good water protection. Highly recommend.

I thought it was time for a new rag top. Was sceptical but would give this product a try. Product does everything it claims. Top came out clean, looks new again. Mold spots are gone and fabric color much improved. It’s an eighteen year old top. Very impressed with this cleaner. Used it with the 303 brush. First tried a spot under rear glass. Tomorrow after top drys will apply weather guard. Very impressed. Delivery was also prompt. I’ve now applied the sealant that came with kit. Masked off the vehicle and sprayed as directed. 24 hours water beaded and rolled off. Excellent product. Highly recommended

Followed instructions and viewed several professionals applying this product on You Tube.I learned quite a bit so was able to adjust to weather problems and location difficultiesto achieve success. The convertible top looks good and is indeed water resistant so I am pleased.Am hoping and expecting I can say the same after a few months. My one criticism is that there istoo little protectant supplied and I couldn't apply a second coat after the first dried. In future I wouldpurchase the 32 ounce sprayer. I also think 303 should sell quarts and half gallon non spray quantities.

I recently bought a used convertible and the tan top had some staining, most likely from being parked under a tree. I used the cleaner in two separate applications and it did a really nice job. I let the cleaner sit for longer the second time to allow it time to penetrate. The protectant worked well too but there were a couple spots where I over-applied it by accident. When it dried it had a crusty/yellowish appearance. Luckily I was able to use a brush to scrub off the excess the next time I washed my car. The top looks very good now; Not factory new, but much better than it did!

My 2001 BMW 325 Ci fabric convertible top was in excellent condition as the car has been garaged for its entire life. However I have never treated the top in any way other than to wash with soap and nylon brush. Both the cleaner and fabric guard appeared to work well. It has since rained (yes it rained in southern California in September) and the water beaded off the top. The top looks gorgeous now, like new. I followed all instructions to the T. I hosed down the top and applied the cleaner with a nylon brush, rinsed it off and reapplied and then rinsed the heck out of it to remove all soap residue. I waited 24 hours for the top to dry in the sun and then in the garage before I applied the fabric guard. The cleaner goes a long way so next time I will only have to buy the fabric guard for a future application as I only have about 1/3 bottle left. I was going to brush on the fabric guard but instead decided to mask the windows and car body and spray it on. I used old sheets and towels and blue painters tape for masking. This worked well and the supplied sprayers worked as expected. I sprayed the fabric guard liberally from front to back and then side to side to be sure I covered the entire top. So far I am very happy with the results and will consider buying some of this companies other products, e.g. speed detailer & graphene detailer.

I have to preface this review by stating that I used the kit just a few days ago, so I am in no position to judge the long term effectiveness.I decided to try the 303 products after reading a lot of positive reviews here and on other sites as well as going to the company's web site. So far I have no reason to complain.I read many reviews which bemoaned the fact that 303 HTFG and other protectants were nearly impossible to use outside due to the effects of even the slightest breeze on the fine mist coming from the sprayer. I had the advantage of applying the HTFG in my garage, so that wasn't an issue for me.After cleaning the top with the cleaner and a horse hair brush, I left the top to dry thoroughly in the sun. The top looked pretty good to me, but I'm not sure whether the credit lies with the cleaner or the brush.I then moved the car into the garage and used a plastic painting drop cloth with an adhesive edge to mask off the rest of the car. I sprayed the HTFG on evenly, but rather liberally. I was a bit worried about overdoing it since during the course of correspondence with a rep from the company I had been cautioned to not over apply. For that reason I decided to forego the suggestion of another reviewer of pouring the HTFG into another container and applying it with a brush. As it turns out, it is okay to do so. The rep later emailed me and confirmed that even the president of company prefers that method for protecting the top on his own car, though not with a fully laden brush. I'm going to try this method in a couple of years or so when I need to reapply, and will tap the brush on the side of the bucket to avoid over saturating the first area that the brush hits. Anyways, once the protectant was on I moved the car back into the drive so that the HTFG could dry and cure properly. The company recommends high temperatures for this part - the hotter the better. There was enough cleaner for the top on my Audi A4 that I could use it again, but shouldn't need to as long as the protectant holds out.As I mentioned above, I haven't had this protectant on long enough to judge its performance, but I was so impressed with the responsiveness of the company rep to my emailed questions that I am giving 303 HTFG the benefit of the doubt for now. It certainly looks better than when I started.I will try to update this review in a few months if I can to give a better idea of how well the fabric guard performs. In the mean time I'm going with four stars for ease of use and outstanding customer support.UPDATE: Who knew they had an edit button?Well, it's been nearly two years since I started using this product and I am still very pleased. As long as you follow the instructions it works perfectly! (Clean the top, let it dry, liberally apply the product on a hot day, only rinse the top between treatments - every complaint I read here violated one of those tenets.) I had considered using a brush to apply it, but so far I have stuck to masking the windows and body with the painters' drop cloths that have the tape on the edge and just spraying.
