Works as it should. Good value for money. Scent is fine. Hoping it’s durable and holds up for what I use it for. Easy to use. Appearance is good quality. Not too worried about the texture.

I know proce seems high for a little bottle of soap. Ut this product is amazing if you are processing raw wool. 1 Tablespoon to a 5 gal bucket with 1 lb of wool. If you are new to fiber processing 1 lb is a lot of fiber. Further breakdown 3 tbsp =1 oz, 16 Oz bottle = a lot of wool.Follow the instructions on time and water temperatures ans you will be amazed at how clean your wool comes out.

Palmolive dish soap works fine for cleaning fleece- this is such a small bottle and I thought I'd give it a go but I just use palmolive dish soap. Dawn strips away too much lanolin but palmolive works well

I just started spinning and wanted to learn to also prep raw wool for spinning.  As a novice, I did not want to overspend and went with a popular option which is to use blue Dawn dish soap.  I purchased some fine wool, that had lots of vm and lanolin that took me weeks to clean.   I almost gave up on processing raw rool.  But I ordered some Unicorn Power Scour and was pleasantly surprised at how well it works.  My next batch of fiber was cleaned in less time, dried beautifully, had fewer tangles, and smelled much better than when I received it.  My thoughts, if you're going to get into processing wool.  Just go ahead and purchase the proper cleaning supplies, it will make this experience easier and more pleasant for you and you can get to what you really want to do, which is creating.

This was exactly what I ordered, the only reason I dinged it a star was because the seal came off and it leaked. Luckily it was in a bag all by itself, but I lost a good 1/8-1/4 of the product due to the leak.

This stuff is incredible! I just got it to try on some fleeces a friend gave me, they were several years old and had never been washed. I tried one in dawn which is what I usually use, and the lanolin had stained it yellow and just didn't come out, it was incredibly sticky still. So I tried this stuff and holy cow....that cloud of brilliant dazzling white fiber in the photo is from that wash....it used to be a lanolin stained fleece AT LEAST 3 years old! It's been an absolute pleasure to work with too which is saying something because we have hard water and there is almost always at least a little sticky feel to the fiber. I'll never go back to dawn, yes this stuff is expensive but I use half of what they say to on the bottle and it still cut the lanolin in those three year old fleeces, you can use half a tablespoon for about 2 pounds of wool. Absolutely worth it for those higher lanolin fleeces and finewools. Totally recommend.PS. It's great for pit stains on your clothes too ;)

Unicorn scour might be magic?? It smells like happiness, and just does a fantastic job of cleaning your fibers.I purchased my first raw fleece in order to learn and understand the fiber processing process from dirty wool to handspun yarn. The wool was from a Lincoln sheep (very curly and with a consistency almost like doll hair) and came packaged in a box that smelled just like a barn. The fleece was VERY oily. Imagine touching Severus Snape’s hair after 2 weeks without a shower. It was not a good feeling, and I don’t know how anyone can spin in the grease.Anyway! I used maybe a total of 2 oz of unicorn scour for around 16oz of fiber. A little goes a long way!I put the fleece into a very large lingerie bag and left the fleece in very hot water + the scour for an hour or so? Tons of dirt and gross stuff came out, and the locks were immediately so much nicer to the touch, even still soapy and wet. I let the fleece soak in warm clear water for ~20 minutes at a time waiting for the bag to drain clear, and then putting the bag in the washer on the spin only cycle and laying the locks out to dry. The clean locks were positively ethereal in color once dry, are so soft, and don’t have a trace of grease. 10/10.I’ve also used unicorn scour for cleaning dog fur for spinning. In this case I can compare Scour to Dawn dish soap, and unicorn scour wins hands down. The first batch of dog fur I washed for a friend with Dawn and saying my dogs were upset about this is the understatement of the year. Even after several soaks and rinses in Dawn, the dogs absolutely lost their shit when the clean fur was anywhere they could see or smell it. It smelled fine to me, but it’s clear my dogs thought I was starting a career as Cruella deVille or bringing home a bunch of new boring dogs that they didn’t like.Once I got the unicorn scour, I tried it on both a second batch of the “cleaned” dog fur from the first friend, and a new second batch from a dog who really needed a bath. Once cleaned in one soak of unicorn scour, the dogs no longer cared about the fur from either dog. I can comb and spin it in my living room with my dogs sleeping next to me without a care in the world. So! If you want to spin mementos for your friends but don’t want your dogs to have nightmares about you wearing them as a coat, unicorn scour is your friend!

Got 2 raw Jacob fleece in feed bags, not skirted at all, just exactly as they came off the sheep except they were also compressed.... a bit yuck. I cut off the worst and stuck a sizeable chunk in an outdoor tub of water somewhere between lukewarm and hot due to no access to a heating source. I put in a couple tsps of Unicorn Scour, added the wool, swished and submerged it, crossed my fingers, hoped for the best and expected the worst. IT WORKED WONDERS. Even in not very hot water, it pulled "gunk" and lanolin and dirt like crazy. The water went brown so fast. Gave it a little bit of a rinse and ran it through a second bath just to be sure - barely any hint of color to the second bath. It really got almost all of the dirt and wax out of a very dirty fleece in one go in lukewarm+ water. And the wool smelled very pleasant once it dried - not "perfumed", but clean smelling - DEFINITELY not the smell it had going INTO the bath!! LOL!! I am truly so very very pleased!
