Standard Use
A transformer needs to be placed between the circuit breaker/power outlet, and the junction box where the lights are wired to.You'll want to ensure it's mounted at least a foot from the ground, with the wiring compartment facing downwards.It needs to be at least 4 feet from the nearest edge of the pool.But if you can wire it as close to the junction box, provided you meet these minimum requirements, that would minimize any risk of voltage drop from the transformer to the pool lights.
High and low pressure compartment design
A grounded shield between the primary and secondary winding assures sate operation.
Overload Protection
With circuit breaker. Total power exceeds 80% of the capacity power supply unit, the circuit breaker will automatically disconnect the power to the transformer to avoid damage to the landscape light.
Easy Installation
2 mounting brackets allow for easy installation and keep the transformer separate from the wall for heat dissipation.

This product is a safety hazard and has not been approved by any safety agency. I would not risk using this for pool lights as it could put electricity in the pool. Non UL approved product, inspector will shut it down.
