Including; Aphids, Moth eggs, Mites, Scales, Thrips, Leaf Hoppers, Mealybugs, Chinch Bugs, Asparagus Beetle larvae, Whitefly and other soft and slow-moving insects. Ladybugs are a must-have for organic gardening or organic farming. Ladybug eat insects during both the adult and larval stages, so you can buy ladybugs as adults and continue to have live ladybugs eating through other parts of their life cycle as they reproduce. Adults are beetles, often reddish-orange or yellow, with black markings. Larvae are black alligator like caterpillar looking insects with orange spots. Eggs are yellow/ orange, laid in clusters of up to 50 eggs. Shipped: In mesh bags, or natural, unbleached, reusable cotton bags. Store In a regular household refrigerator for one to two weeks max. Release Tips: Release at dusk around the base of plants, after spraying plants with water, so they can drink. Release near infestations in small amounts over a two-week period. Release Rates: 1,500 ladybugs cover approx.1000 sq. ft., 4,500 ladybugs cover approx. 3,000 sq. ft., 9,000 ladybugs cover approx. 6,000 sq.ft., 1 gallon covers approx. 1 – 5 acres.

Every year when I bring my plants inside for the winter I release lady bugs around them to eat the pests. They do a great job and the survival rate in transit is phenomenal. Have used them for many years.

Lots of bugs, most were alive although the label on package covered up the warning on the box and the FedEx guy left package on front porch in the hot sun instead of shade. Had I not been at home expecting delivery and saw the truck, the bugs would have gotten cooked. Kinda funny that with 3000 bugs, there are none to be found after nearly 2 wks - harrumph!

I was skeptical because I had ordered Lady Bugs from amazon once with another vendor and they arrive mostly dead. My pumpkins have an aphid infestation and its getting a bit out of control so I decided to try beneficial ladybugs once again. OMG these are ALL ALIVE!! I released them in the evening and boy they are already munchin' on all the aphids. Definetly ordering again from this vendor. It was fast shipping too!! My kids love the information booklet as well. TY!

I usually have trouble keeping the white flies off the tropicals I overwinter in a heated breezeway. Used these ladybugs last year and they did a great job getting rid of the white flies. This year, I unleashed a couple of batches (1,500 each) at the beginning of the cold season and so far no white flies.
