I ordered a package of 30 pearls with pins to use for closing a duvet cover. They successfully pinned through four layers of cotton fabric, using one every five inches and it worked perfectly. These saved me from making button holes and sewing on buttons. I'm very pleased and it looks great.

I keep several in my handbag for friends who ask for safety pins! Most of the time, they really need something pretty to close a gap in their clothing, and I have just the thing! Then I tell them where I got them - and I order them a box! I’ve ended up using them for a variety of things - to hem a cute dress, to close a cardigan that didn't have buttons, and to puff the shoulders of a puff sleeve dress whose shoulders came un-puffed and I didn't have time to return or fix it any other way! I like that they are plain, and are very easy to use. they click into place so you know when they are locked in. You can also use them for home decorating projects!
