I have tried regular beating needles but have not tried the big eye needles. They're sturdier than the regular beating needles but I don't have to use a needle threader with the regular bead needle.

These work well for long lines of seed needs when you are making a bracelet.

The only needles I can use for tiny seed beads since I can slide the thread in between the opening which is almost the entire length of the needle. The downside is that they bend and kink very easily, so larger packs are a must. Good value, I will order more of these.
