This product was well made but the spacing between the spiral seed feeder is too large for green cheek conures. My baby’s head got stuck between the bars and I am so grateful it didn’t end poorly. It was extremely scary and I wouldn’t recommend this product for birds this size or smaller.

This assembly of utensils is great for giving my parrot treats that also allow him to do some foraging behavior. He seems to like them he’s not intimidated by them and these objects are very easy to clean. Highly recommend.

Great quality! I place millet, a favourite treat in the cone shaped one. “Kizzy” loves fresh apple and dried mango and papaya, etc. It’s so easy to slide them onto the skewer. So much less mess and waste. Super easy to clean as well. Just be sure to screw up from the bottom as far as you can, otherwise these smarty pants parrots learn to unscrew the skewer when empty ;-) Good price as well.

The food skewers are the worst I've ever seen, and I should have known better than to order this set. The other pieces are OK, but NOT the skewers. They sell these skewers all over Amazon, and you're wasting your money if you buy them. Why? I've been involved with Parrots for 35 years, and up until lately, they sold skewers where the skewer itself was threaded and screwed up into a plastic piece. (see my photo). The problem with these skewers is that VERY TINY NUT. You will lose this within days, if not hours! Not only that, but it doesnt lock, so your bird can easily unscrew it, and you'll never see that tiny piece again. Sometimes the best option for shopping on Amazon is to look several pages in, if not more, because in my case, what I really wanted was the one in the bottom of my photo, but I didnt go through enough pages to find it the first time. No matter where you buy them, buy the ones like in the bottom of my photo, because the ones in the top are completely useless once you lose that tiny nut.

The product is supposed to contain 1 food holder and 2 skewers but I received only 2 of the pieces: a food holder and 1 skewer. The items received are great: easy to clean and durable but I am extremely disappointed that I did not receive all three items. Since I came up 1 skewer short, I feel rather screwed and the shortage definitely skewed my opinion rating of the product.

I have 5 birds, two budgies, two cockatiels and a double yellow headed Amazon parrot. Out of my 5 birds only 2 of them(the two I got from a breeder who took the time to get them used to eating fresh veggies and fruit) will eat anything besides seeds.I have tried everything! I was at my wits end with worry that they weren’t eating healthy and that they would suffer in the future for it. When I saw this I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try it out.Wow! I wish I had of seen these before! They really work! I put different foods on these and they think it’s a toy so they notice it right way when I place in their cages they are quick to investigate. Then play with it the same as they would their chew toys. Different foods get them more curious and they think they have a new toy each day. Unlike with food clips or bowls with veggies and fruit they wouldn’t even seem to notice, they notice these. I even tried hiding food chopped up with the seeds or shoving seeds inside fresh food for them, and they would just eat around or toss the veggies aside. Nothing worked only this! They really have fun eating healthy now!The metal used is also very durable which is good. When it comes to my larger double yellow Amazon who even as a 5 month old baby has a very strong bite they are still thick enough not to break. The only thing I found with him is he had figured out how to unscrew the nut that holds the part onto the bottom. However that isn’t any part due to the quality of the food holder itself, but because he tends to unscrew everything with a nut on it since he figured out he could. We just keep an eye on him when he’s got his or leave it off all together. For him being a baby learning to eat on his own this really helps him in this as well. These are very easy to clean with soap and hot water and have no signs of rust even when most things we have to wash made of metal seems to rust quickly with the way the water is here. I usually just dry with a paper towel afterward so not to worry about that but I doubt it would happen. These take only a min total to clean. These really are great if your like us with birds who refuse to eat anything besides seeds that they were fed before you got them or just stubborn. I cannot recommend these enough! I will buy more in future to have a few extra on hand!

My parrot has gone from 5 mins in her cage to over 1 hr. One was will filled with vegetables the other with things to shred. Thank you.

The spiral holder is bigger than I anticipated. I bought the package specifically for that 1 item since I wanted a better way to hold Ceylon cinnamon sticks for our conure. We made it work by putting multiple sticks and trying to wind them through the spirals. The skewers are FANTASTIC. They are a great size, length and easy to clean. Our Green cheek conure picks at the bottom 'bolt' but has not yet managed to get one all the way off. We have skewered apples, grapes, broccoli and cucumber so far.
