The brushes broke within a day of using them. The wire bristles completely dislodged with no way to repair. What’s worse, the rubber protective sleeve on the brushes kept slipping down, causing the exposed metal to scratch the face of the cajon. Returned broken. Will not buy again. Spend the money and get something better.

Got this set of sticks / brushes to go with the Ludwig pocket kit my kid is getting for Christmas.I think the traditional sticks are rubberized plastic - but they have a nice weight to them. They have slightly textured grips which is a nice touch, and sound like the real deal.The adjustable sticks are okay. The rubber adjusting ring feel like nothing more than a rubber band, so I'm not sure.how long they'll hold up before the ring needs to be replaced.The brushes are great. I didnt realize the bristles were metal instead of plastic. They have a slightly different sound than plastic brushes, but not in a bad way. I'm curious to see what they do to drum heads over time, but I like them for now.Storage bag arrived with a hole in it, so the brushes get caught in it pretty easily - but it stores sticks no problem.For $11, I'm not complaining and feel like I got a great set of beginner sticks for my aspiring drummer.
