We were happy with this purchase for our grandkids 3, 6, 8 and 10. They flew well and the kids loved them! Used at the Pacific Northwest ocean beaches.

These are perfect for what we need. We have an annual kite flying event at my church and these are just the correct size. They are well-made and very colorful. Easy to put together too!

These were even better than described. I was surprised at how big they actually are and theyโre so well made. Honestly, theyโll probably last for years! 5 or more.. theyโre great!

Bought these for a beach day with the grandkids. It was super easy to tie a knot in the metal piece, then attach the kite, and start flying! Super easy, fun - and, they fly! If you want a fun, affordable toy to play with the kids, this is the one. The eyes of the octopus will wobble and look like they are blinking as the wind catches it. Make sure the tails don't tangle, or it won't fly. Easy to wrap up and put back into the little bag for easy storage afterwards. It is not an expensive, super cool kite, but perfect for little kids, and easy to deal it too! Highly recommend, especially for the price.

I am middle aged, and for the first time in my life I actually flew a kite with these. As a kid it was a running, kite breaking, disappointing experience. The wind caught this kite and all I had to do was let out string. I flew one, grand kids (2-6 years old), and my niece all flew one easily. We could even sit on the ground and it kept flying. Easiest thing ever and the tails are so pretty. Word of advice when first unpacking them, have an adult tie the string to the kite before the strings already attached to the kite get wound around and tangled or messed up. Check out YouTube if you arenโt sure of best knot to use. Absolutely great purchase. Several people watching asked where we got them.

These are cute and seem like they should work but they seem to get tangled up in themselves. One flew really well. The black and red. The solid blue and the solid green would not stay up as much as we tried.

Easy to put together, simply loosen the looped through bunch but leave the two knots close together alone, that is where you clip the string from the handle. I split the bundle in about half and slipped the clip around one half. Getting the kite up in the air was not difficult, be careful to avoid stepping on the tail (legs of the squid/octopus) as it is quite long. Once the kite has caught some air and opens up it lifts well. Holding securely to the provided handle and using a rocking motion to release string from the handle is simple, if you are having you kids fly these and are concerned about them letting go, you could use carabineers and some 550 cord to attach the handle and a length of cord to their belt or belt loop, if you go that route, do not use in strong wind (duh!). The kite material is what it is, and for the price the stitching is pretty good and the strings are all attached. Minor repairs could be made if needed. As long as care is taken when using these kites they should last a while. Overall I am very happy with this product and will purchase again in the future.

We were at the beach on a gusty day, so the wind was very variable. When others were really struggling to keep their kites up, these stayed up with NO issues. Two things - 1. The string thing is awful to try to let it out / reel it in without risking your hands on tight ' sharp' kite string (I bought a reel also, so no biggie). 2. When you first open the kite, do so VERY VERY VERY SLOWLY and prevent the wind from snapping it up! The first one I just sort of flipped it open, the wind took it and tangled the strings. Also, keep in mind it's an easy flyer, not a HIGH flyer. We got them up - 50'? But then they were just going sideways more than higher up. GREAT DAY and would definitely buy them again!!
