These seem to be a reasonable quality fitting.

This is a 1" check valve with female pipe threads on each end. The check valve itself is simply a tee with a flap inside that allows water to go in one direction but when water tries to flow back it presses against the flap and doesn't allow it. This is a stainless steel check valve so it shouldn't rush shouldn't have any problems for a very long time no way to know exactly until you put it in the ground and see how it works.

Gravity is all it takes to block backflow. It doesn't seal off perfectly, but sufficient to prevent waste from backflowing with enough speed to be a concern. The biggest benefit of this device is that it takes very little forward pressure to open the valve, it only needs to counter gravity. This means a pump can overcome the initial cavitation and self-prime without much effort. All seals appear to be stainless steel on stainless steel, hinge screw and cleanout cap included. This is very good quality materials, and very clean workmanship. I'll probably be ordering more.

A robust, well designed and fabricated SS one way valve. This is installed in a horizontal section of 1.25” bilge hose.

There is plenty of thread depth on this so it give a good seal.

As another reviewer noted, NPT threads are not the same as DN50, so it's confusing why the seller listed both on this item. However, as the other reviewer noted, there are some applications where an occasional drip or putting 15 wraps of teflon tape and pipe dope are acceptable. That's exactly my type of application here.I'm putting together a filtration system for our large kiddie/pet-pool duck pond. I have to be able to empty it fairly quickly, so I have a pump with 2" outlet. This check valve does just what I need it to. It works best in horizontal orientation, but if you have enough water pressure, you could probably use it in an upflow position. There's no return spring, so downflow won't work (preventing water from returning back uphill).Yes, it's a heavy enough item, but I still wouldn't try subjecting it to freezing temperatures when filled with water. Not many pipes or fittings can withstand that kind of treatment.
