Directional Antenna Installation Tips

  • Please turn off the power of the signal equipment before use, and then connect the antenna.
  • Determine location of nearest cell tower.
  • Mount antenna to 2.0 inch max diameter mast or to wall as high as possible.
  • keep the antenna facing the signal tower.
  • Adjust antenna position left/right and up/down tilt to find optimal signal.
  • Point away from:other antennas,trees & buildings,large vertical metal or concrete objects.

Note

  • Use 50 Ohm RF coax cables. DON’T Use RG59/RG6 coax (75 Ohm cable) – signal will be seriously degraded
  • This antenna is for direct-wired connection to cellular data devices with 2 antenna connectors.Keep cables as short as possible.DON’T Use a splitter to connect 1 modem port to both antenna leads.
  • This directional antenna(one plastic side) must be pointed toward a cell tower. In order to get a better signal, please keep the antenna facing the signal tower as free of obstacles and high enough.

I used this on T-Mobile Modem and went from 2 bars to a solid 4 bars. There are two cables Marked Vertical and Horizontal for Polority. What worked for me was to install the vertical cable to position #1 and the Horizontal cable to position #4 and it came to life. I tried other different positions and it seemed like it just shorted out the Antenna and the signal would drift all over the place and totally go out. There were no directions for any modems I just had to figure this on my own. The placement is basically to clear your neighbors roof to get a clear sight of the signal coming from the tower. This a great product but no instructions. I used a 3/4" piece of conduit and purchased to brackets from amazon and installed with tapcon screws into my structure.Hope this Helps Someone.

I was only getting about two bars before and I’m now getting full bars. Does also allow ban switching! Download speed increased quite a bit, upload is a bit better! Hope this helps you pull the trigger on this before speeding double or more for waveform or other companies.

Not everyone knows that the Verizon MiFi 8800L Jetpack (hotspot) has two ports for use with an external antenna. Just pry off the two small plugs on either side of the USB-C input and attach to a dual-cable cell antenna like the Eifagur. This particular antenna requires two SMA female to TS-9 male adapters to make the connection. I haven't noticed much difference in which cable is plugged into which port. What I HAVE noticed is that the antenna works GREAT with the Jetpack! It is directional, so a bit of trial and error is needed to get it pointed in the right direction. Once I did, I got one to two more bars of signal and around double the speed compared to no antenna. The difference is even greater with the antenna outside and the Jetpack inside, which is the way most people would want to use it. A mounting bracket is included, but you will need to have a 1.2" to 2" pipe to attach it to.

It has a nice range, very fast speeds, it’s quick to set up and install, small and compact, and it’s a solid antenna for the price.

update (again)right after posting an updated review, ive began to have issues with the yagi antennas.*i have the yagi set, and the 2x2 panel both*the 2x2 panel still works, and imo is possibly better.(i am picking up band 71 for 5g) but the yagi antennasare no longer increasing strength for whatever reason.i checked mounting locations etc, and nothing has helpedthe situation. so im in process of inquiring about a possiblesolution without needing to repurchase as i would indeedtake the single 2x2 panel. i will state again tho,the yagi AND 2x2 panel all worked great for months! making my speedsgo from 10mbs to nearly 100! and signal boosted quite a bitto where one could call it in a "good" range on sinr scaling etc.either way, i hope EIFGUAR will assist me with a possible solution.ill leave it at 5 stars since they did do the job for a bit...UPDATE these actually made a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE with a better routerthat could actually allow for the better increase in signal strength *(rather faster signaltransfer i suppose?)* not sure the technical term for it. but, with my cudy p5 instead of thejunk Metaspot Tr200 that came with the old carrier i had. im now getting at certian timesof the day, upto 100mbs download, and 10 upload! well worth the money in my book.even tho i first rated these 1 star, and was super unhappy. im glad i never returned them.*im 1 mile from the tower, and the bands that tower has is listed for these as "supported"so keep that in mind* as not all seem to get better signal. i simply left them in the same directionthey were pointed, (using cellmapper as the general location to point) and the signal strengthbuilt in to the router i have to determine where they should go. and again, it just worked!so, try em out. worst case you wasted time. best case, your happy. ping times lower, and signal strength is increased. (these are not meant for cell phones) yes i have a cell boosterin the same location as these are which is how i knew they shuda worked to begin with.Hooked up, placed on a pole at 20, 30, 40 ft and never seen any better signal. Quite a bit worse than the rabbit ears the router comes with. YES THIS ANTENNA WAS OUTSIDE! and UP IN THE AIR pointed at the tower which is 1.7 miles away from me or less!Others state this worked for them, so it's a chance to see if it does for you. But I'm going to initiate a return. As this didn't work at all. Simply put, made my signal worse. From 3 bars to 0/1 bar.

If you have T-Mobile Home Internet this does not work to increase your connection to their towers...In fact before I put it on the roof of my home... it was worse than the internal antennas...After I put it in the best location on the roof... I only got the same number of bars as the internal antennas on a shelf in the house... As for the broadband? It never changed... I ended up sending it back...I would not recommend this antenna...

not sure it really improved my signal. I have tried many location. Moved it a few inches, did speed test. Still in testing.
