The gears are fine, I guess. The teeth fit together, the gears turn. One of them will work for what I need because it’s going to idle, but the other absolutely needs grub screws to hold it on the drive shaft. Neither of these gears have any way to fasten them to a shaft; not even a keyway. I can probably drill holes in hardened steel, but cutting threads into such a shape & size of hardened steel will require tools I don’t have and skills I’m unsure of.
