Sticks only at outside edges and cannot be trimmed to fit effectively. Once applied to inside of visor, does not darken in sunlight.

Takes 3 trys to install. 1st try, it sticks before you can position or reposition. No second chance, sticks wrong and product ruined and return for refund. 2nd try, remove face shield and carefully position. Do a few test postions before removing plastic covers. Properly placed inside the faceshield per instructions "Step 2." But the it won't get dark because the faceshield blocks UV rays. 3rd try, placed externally on outer surface of face shield. Works pretty well, still not dark enough and looks a bit funny. "1 back and 2 front" apply if placed on outer face shield and backwards if placed on inner face shield. Instructions are very bad - so you are on your own.

After reading the other two reviews, I felt I had to write one myself. No offense to the other reviewers, but those may have been cases of user error.I had no problems applying the film. It darkens in the sunlight and lightens back up when no sun is present. Also keeps the visor fog free. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase!

I tried to install this insert per the instructions as written and after lining up the lens where it was to be placed and pressing the adhesive section in thoroughly, I proceeded to peel the second protective film off the liner and the thicker portion (inner) liner began to separate from the adhesive. What I thought was just the liner not sticking turned out to be the 2 piece untidy/photochromic lens insert separating and trapping air and bubbles between them which distorted the clarity and function of the insert itself. No matter how many times I pressed the adhesive down to my face shield, the thin (photochromic) film that had the adhesive would not restock to the thicker (antifog) layer and it just looked horrible to try and see through them. Still going to contact the seller to see if it was just a defective unit, but I’m not sure if it was low quality, or what might result from it. Here’s to hoping I find what I’m looking for. Submitted a return through Amazon for the original purchase and was set up with a replacement almost immediately. The new insert came in within a few days and I again installed per the same process. The photochromic effect doesn’t seem to be as dark as it was portrayed in the listing, but it’s perfect for those commutes on overcast days where my sunglasses are too dark to be effective and the antifog while NOT as crystal clear as advertised, a slight glare from headlights and DRLs, it has yet to fog up inside the covered area of my visor after several chilly mornings here hovering around 38 to 45 degrees on my morning ride. All in all for the price, I would recommend one at least for preparedness if needed. Definitely would add it to my passenger unit primarily because it sees less critical use, but you get what you pay for, of course.

Doesn't effectively darken for sunny day. Effect of antifog is that is leaves droplets to distort your view. Better than nothing but not better than just venting the visor and wearing sunglasses.

The film does work to reduce fog on the visor. It does not help reduce sunglare
