with unmarked foreign wire a great way to make sure the wire can handle current not just having thick plastic jacketespecially with inverters which pull high amps from 12dc v to 120ac v

I am new to making jewelry with wire. And I thoroughly enjoyed my purchase. Sometimes I get my wires mixed up and it can be hard to guess.Which gauge is which this makes it simple? And the price was awesome!

I don't know if this is intended to be some other country's standard, but this does not match American Wire Gauge at all; in the 10-12 range it is off a full size maybe a bit more. The decimal equivalents on the back also do not match what is expected, making me think this is another standard not AWG. It's a shame as it is sturdy, sharply cut (i.e. would discriminate nicely between sizes if it was right). But... it doesn't give the right answer!

The spacing which is how you measure wire is off a bit. When measuring a known wire size it does not measure correctly . The wire will pass through a smaller space. It seems to be just this one measure that is off.
