I just unpacked these and was pleased to see that the swivel loops at the top will be MUCH better for my application than the fixed position ones. The fit and finish is fine for this type of pully. These will be used to raise and lower our bird feeders which previously required a ladder of some sort which was not one of favorite things to do. Now we have a much safer way of feeding our feathered friends!!

These pulleys appear to be very well constructed. I did not anticipate just how small of a diameter the pully wheel would be. I am not savvy enough to do the physics calculations but I believe that the smaller wheel will have less load relief than one with a larger diameter. I don't know, just a hunch. The pully is rated for 200 pounds so I'd hit the load limit before it'd make a real difference... The attachment ring is a swivel with a riveted connection. I don't think the pulley wheel has bearings. This item is stainless steel, compact, has a respectable load limit and well built. Look closely to make sure it will suit your purpose and I think you'd be satisfied.

My dog has a ball attached to a pulley system to keep her entertained when she is outside. She is a very aggressive puller and this has lasted the longest so far. It makes no noise when going along. It was just as easy to use as any other pulley. The size was what I wanted.

I camp in backcountry bear areas in Yellowstone and Canada. I have always struggled to raise and lower food bags with the rope dragging on whatever I find to throw it over. This pulley is the perfect weight to throw over branches that are well off the ground. I tie a rope to it long enough to lower it back to the ground. I then put a second rope through the pulley then raise the pulley up and tie off the pulley rope. The second rope is now also branch height. It raises my food bags much easier using the pulley, with no damage to the rope and without damaging the tree. I kayak so weight is not much of an issue.
