Bought two modules and neither worked. Communication over I2C was good, but the data was bad. Only had about a 30 degree window where they produced meaningful data for each axis. After that the values shot to 64500 to 65000 and stayed there. Ran the calibration routine for Arduino. After that all three axis stayed at about 1.5 to 1.6 degrees no matter what direction they were pointing.They are cheap enough I didn't both sending back. Just taking a loss on them.

I used this in a drone because my GPS that I had to not have a compass, this works great the only complaint I have is that I really couldn't find a clear answer on which axis you wanted pointed forward and which was up, I just kept flying it, and moving it around until it seems to be working correctly. But the Drone is all closed up and now I can't remember which way it was and I'll have to do it again if I use the second one. If somebody could put a post on here with pictures and instructions that would be great
