I love using these in my car. They aren’t difficult to open and the little pads are great to color coordinate with different oils. They feel pretty durable so far and the pads have held their scents so far. I will have to see what happens in the summer, that’s where the magic happens in the desert (when things typically die). They aren’t heavy and are pretty simple to use.

These are great for a natural option car fragrance. People that say it doesn’t work- it’s because you’re not using enough oil or quality oil. It all comes down to the oil you add. The item is just the vessel to diffuse. I soaked the pad in the oil and it’s been making my car smell great since!

Bought these because regular air fresheners don’t seem to last. Love the design and the sturdiness of them but the scent doesn’t last more than a day. I tried essential oils on them.

I bought these after seeing one my daughter received as a gift, and I just love it. I've found most mass-market auto air fresheners to be overpowering and unpleasant. The beauty of this one, in addition to its appealing design, is that you customize it using your favorite essential oil, adding as little or as much as you like. The set comes with two clip-on diffusers and multiple felt discs in a rainbow of colors, so you can easily swap scents and colors. It's a breeze to refresh it--just open the lid and apply a few more drops of essential oil to the disc. I've found that a few drops of scented oil lasts for weeks. It's economical and sustainable because I only have to replace the oil (which lasts a long, long time) and not the diffuser. Great product!!

These look really nice; I liked my first set and then purchased a second set. I use them in the house, not the car. I put them over the registers so they lightly release scent when either the heat or air conditioner is on. I really like the scent of Air Wicks Turquoise Oasis. I remove the wick part and use a dropper to scent the pads that came with these diffusers.

I really like these! I love that they are stainless steel, I love that they have a soft "rubber" tip on the clip so they don't scratch your vent, I love that they are decent sized (about the size of a quarter (a little bigger if you count the solid frame around the design, and I LOVE the designs! I was concerned that being relatively heavy and large, they would slide, tilt, slip. They don't! They stay put!I like that it came with additional felt pads, too, because I use essential oils in my home everywhere ~ in diffusers, in roll ons, cleaning products, etc. and I can have several different scents on whatever pads I choose. You can also purchase additional pads.A thing that should be said about essential oils. If you are using ESSENTIAL oils (not synthetic or fragrance oils), they may (depending on the type of scent) dissipate more quickly than the other oils. However, that being said, your herbaceous (basil, pine, fir, balsam) essential oils last quite some time as do the resinous ones (patchouli, amber, vetiver). Citrus essential oils are the worst for lasting scent, so you have freshen them up more frequently. The florals can go either way depending on the scent. I find the lavender, my one true floral, tends to be too faint for my liking when it's diluted in a diffuser, but when I use it in the car air freshener, or mixed with a carrier oil, it lasts a while.I would say the time frame for the scent to last with these is anywhere form 2-4 weeks. Start out with a few drops of whatever essential oil your using, and increase it if you have to. I just drenched two pads with patchouli (seriously...I took a little bowl out, put the pads in the bowl, and just kept dribbling the patchouli on the pads). I let them set for a couple of hours and added a bit more. They are both in my car and it smells amazing! You will get more scent when you have the heat on in the car, because the warm air disperses it better than cold air. So keep that in mind. If you get in your hot car during the summer, you will smell the scent more than when you get in your cold car in the winterVery impressed with these and will probably by another set for our other car. Makes much more sense than spending just about the same amount of money every month on store bought car air fresheners.

Came in some very cute packaging right on time! Had ordered my set of sample scents at the same time. These are very solid! The felt pads have some very fun colors that you can see through the trees when you position these on your vents. I put about 10 drops of my chosen essential oil on the felt pad, put the felt pad inside the stainless steel diffuser & clicked it on the vent in the car. They hold to the vent without any problem. These have a rubber coating on their clip as to not damage your vent and also for a solid hold. It really gives off a steady stream of aroma. The aroma lasts less than a week but I carry my small bottle in the car and can quickly put a few drops on the felt pad. I spend a lot of time in the car picking up and delivering dogs as I am a dog sitter. You can bet my car will start to take on the air of our fluffy K9 friends. I sometimes am called to drive and pick up my customers from the airport and am no longer concerned for the smell in the car. Love these and have ordered four more sets for gifts.

I truly hate giving this item 3 stars. The quality of the build is far more than I had expected. All metal, sharp details, the magnetic clasp is strong, the hinge is solid and I am confident the product will last for many many years."So, what's the problem?" you might ask. The aroma is gone in 2-3 days and hardly noticeable after just one day. I bought them late winter where the temps are still chilly, but you don't have to crank up the heat every day. Any type of airflow, as with all non-electric diffusers, causes them to dry out and become less effective. You can't get much more airflow than an air vent. The more airflow the faster they dry out AND the more you smell of the oil(s) you put in them. Filling them up with Ylang Ylang might be the ticket to attract the ladies at work, though.Takeaway- superior design and build, however the concept is flawed.
