I like to have one of these on hand at all times, because the contacts are eventually going to burn out and especially if you actually live in your rv. I think this is the second one I purchased from this listing, and at first it was clicking very rapidly, short cycling, and we are talking six or seven times per second as it built up pressure. The older one I installed back on there after cleaning the worn out contacts and it worked perfectly. Reinstalling the new one, it all the sudden started working perfectly. Originally I was going to get another one because I thought I had a defective piece, but it's all good now. If you get this, you should buy two or even three of them. That way when you have one of these switches go out on you down the road, you can swap it quickly. If I'm going through these every 6 months, I would expect them to last a few years as long as you're actually out there using it now and then. But if you have an RV and you rarely use it, you'll only ever have to replace this once. And don't think it's going to last forever, the contacts will burn up over time. Just like brushes in a motor will eventually wear down, and just like your light switch for your bedroom in your house, these contacts have a finite life. And if this is working for me for 6 months, I would venture to say it's going to last 10 years in your RV that you're only using for vacations. Not only that, but after carefully cleaning the contacts and sanding both surfaces flat, which I don't recommend because I don't think you'll ever be able to get the pieces back together correctly in the casing, different for me because I'm used to things like that being a mechanic. But anyway, the old one I have is perfectly functional and it's going to go inside of a drawer for future fixes!

Fit my Snowy Fox rv water pump perfectly. Super simple to install, and the directions it came with were easy to read. This little part saved me from replacing a pump that works perfectly fine.

I purchased this to replace the failing part on my existing pump. Quality seems solid and there is no more noise than the previous one. This solved the problem of a leaking pump at the base of switch itself. Pressure is adjustable with a screw under the cover that is removable by Phillips screwdriver. There is nothing to clean and mine is still functioning after 6 months of daily use.

If your water pump is randomly running while the faucets are closed there are a few things it could be, one of which is the pressure switch is faulty. On a used 11 year old RV we thought that was the case. We'll finish washing dishes and the water is shut off and the pump will spin back up and pressurize the lines again well after we've turned the taps off.Not seeing any leaks under or behind all our visible areas, we suspected a bad pressure switch. Most pumps have the same design and with 4-5 screws you can replace it quickly and easily. The case comes off the old pump and this drops in to replace it. Pressure is adjusted with a screw in the center while the cap is off. You will want to reference your pump's abilities and use a gauge (not provided) to measure this. This was an easy fix to a nighttime annoyance of the pump running while nobody was using water.
