I have a bunch of old mini DV tapes that I want to transfer to a longer lasting storage medium so I bought a used HandyCam. The only problem with the used HandyCam is that it came with a battery with practically no capacity. These PowerTrust NP-50 batteries have great capacity. Fully charged they show more than 3 hours of playback. I used the camera for more than an hour and the camera shows 120 minutes of playback time remaining.The batteries fit the Sony DCR-HC21 perfectly and work great. The charger can be plugged in to a standard US 120 volt outlet and it comes with a 12 volt adapter so you can even charge these in the car. It also comes with a European outlet adapter. The charger feels a little flimsy and that’s why I deducted one star

one of the 2 batteries died relatively quick. the other seemed a little better. The charger worked as expected - only had it for a few days
