Hefty and marked. Seems as quality as any I’ve held.A forged 3/8 inch G70 slip hook typically has a minimum breaking strength of ~20,000 lbs. None of that is stated (nor tested/certified). MBS and WLL strength ratings are not stated in the listing, nor do these have CE (or other) stamps or ratings…and the listing even states conflicting GTW ratings (14K-lb. vs 18K). So I’ll assume it as a typical 3/8” 2.5 Ton (5,000 lb.) WLL hook.Use accordingly…avoid overhead use, and try to avoid “snap back” application in lateral use. Considering the missing information and listing inaccuracies…3 stars.

I don't think you can break them.

Great 2 pack of replacement (or addition) clevis slip hooks for 3/8 inch chains.Super easy to install on the end of a chain with the included pin and cotter pin. This 2 pack says forged steel g70. I'm not sure what that means but I can tell you these are heavy feeling and sort of big. I like the safety latch that each has on it. They are also sturdy and have strong springs. Although this is the first thing I tend to break on most chain hooks.Good for lots of towing and hooking applications. They are large hooks though so may not fit into certain things/areas. Not a knock, just a note.Rated for 18k lbs so my chains will probably give before these do.
