Short warm-up time
Just insert the battery, and the carbon monoxide alarm will display 888 for countdown warm - up. After the warm - up is completed, only a green light will be shown, indicating that it has entered the normal working state.
Real-time monitoring
This carbon monoxide detector monitors gas levels in real - time. When the concentration reaches or exceeds 150ppm, it triggers an 85 - decibel audio - visual alarm and shows the gas level. Family members are thus alerted to act. Pressing the SELF - TEST button for 3 seconds can mute the alarm.
Sensitive Detection
The CO detector utilizes advanced electronic-chemical sensor to quickly and accurately detect carbon monoxide levels as low as a few ppm
Warm Tips for Installation:
1. It is recommended to install in the bedroom, corridor, basement, car and living area.
2. Since carbon monoxide are lighter than air, the detector should be installed at 0.3-1 meters below the ceiling.
3. Not to be too close to the furnace.
4. Do not install in the exhaust fan, door, window and bathroom where the water vapor flow is large.
5. Do not install in places with large smoke.
6. Do not install in locations with relative humidity greater than 95%.
7. Do not install in places with large dust, water mist and oil mist pollution.
8. Do not install in locations with high wind speed (greater than 5 m/s).

Didn’t end up using because we didn’t realize you had to use batteries! The downside is not wanting to replace the batteries all the time.

I really like that these detectors are easy to toss batteries in and place anywhere you're worried about CO building up. The beep is good and loud. The only thing I don't like is that there's no way to turn on/off the display. It flashes briefly if you hit the test button (along with the loud beeping), but there's no way to silently check the display. It's just always off. I'd be far more impressed if it allowed me to see whatever level it reads whenever I want, it's easier to detect minor leaks that might not reach the alarm point that way.It would also be nice if these plugged in so the batteries were just backups.

These are solid carbon monoxide alarms. The alarm is loud and clear without being too annoying.It's nice that they are battery-powered so that they can be mounted anywhere. However, they are a little bulky given that they do need to be mounted.I never thought I would comment on the looks of a carbon monoxide alarm, but I actually like how these look. The interface is nice, and I don't mind these hanging out on my wall.

A few years ago I had replaced my hardwire smoke detectors. In hindsight, I should have purchased the CO/Smoke detector combo; but alas, I did not. Just recently our HOA recommended that everyone replace their detectors with the combo - go figure. I'm a senior and I have 15 to 20 foot ceilings so the climb up that ladder is getting a little too much for me; plus, I just don't want to buy more alarms when mine aren't very old. Therefore, when I saw these I ordered them.They take 3 AAA batteries that are not included. I didn't read against it anywhere but I decided that rechargeable batteries wouldn't suffice so installed new lithium batteries. The units beep when you put them in and do some kind of countdown on the screen. I hit the test button and it worked. -All easy.Next was deciding the best place to hang them. After doing some of my own research I found, "the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends placing a carbon monoxide detector on a wall about five feet above the floor or about eye level" so that's what I went with in both my bedroom and my daughter's (away from the bathrooms). So I looked at the included hardware and found some screws, anchors, and double sided tape. The directions say that to mount them to remove the mounting bracket by twisting the arm; BUT, there is no mounting bracket or arm to twist!After looking it over some, I figured out that you must remove the battery door and attach that to the wall - then once attached, you can just slide the alarm down over the battery door. Now I'm thinking... I'm not drilling holes in my walls for this not to fit correctly. The holes for the screws didn't look inset enough to provide room for the alarm to slide down over the battery door; maybe it could, but I'm not chancing it. So I settled on my own nano mounting tape that doesn't mar walls when removed. It worked.I have no way to actually test these with CO, but just like with a smoke alarm... you put in good batteries, test them and change them regularly, and hope that if the alarm isn't sounding then all is good.

I ordered this two pack and immediately out of the box one of the two detectors was not working. The second appears to be functional, but I have no confidence that the springs in the battery compartment will hold up over time. I'd recommend spending a bit more to get a better quality monitor. Your family's safety is not worth saving a few dollars on these.

I installed three AAA batteries in each unit (batteries not included, but then 'included' batteries usually aren't the best anyhow), hit the TEST button, the units beeped, did a countdown on the LCD screen to 0 and then the screen went blank to save power. The alarm tone is loud enough that I think it would be audible under most circumstances though it's not going to deafen anyone. The batteries are said to last at least three years, which is acceptable. Assuming the self-test actually verifies their functionality, I should be good to go. I used the sticky adhesive squares to mount these on my walls though there are supplied screws and anchors for those willing to make holes in their walls.Before I retired, I knew a woman at my workplace who lived with her husband and their teenage son in a very nice upscale house maybe 20 years old. One night their furnace malfunctioned and started putting out carbon monoxide; the woman and her husband died in their sleep; their teenage son survived but he was left with some permanent disability. Inexpensive CO detectors like these could have saved their lives! Protect your family; there's no excuse not to.
