I was able to use this in both positions on my car with a little practice. It's light weight and slips into the back of the seat pocket for storage.

The concept is sound. The application is limited to specific types of steering wheels to keep the desk level. For example, if a steering wheel has no middle section on its bottom half, this product will slip right in. However, if there is a middle section, or if this section is narrow, the product wouldn't fit. The workaround is to turn the steering wheel 180 degrees so that the product can be installed on the top half of the wheel. However, this causes the wheels to rotate about 15-30 degrees, which is weird for parking the car this way. Overall, the desk is well-made. The attached instructions send the user to a video on the use of the product, which is helpful.

I have 2 priuses and the steering wheels seem to dislike the shape of this desk, using it in laptop mode was fine, but I'd prefer to have it flat for using a computer. Maybe it'll work for other vehicles, but not for mine. Try for SUVs or trucks. I'm not confident it's made for sedans

Great idea for someone who spends a lot of time in their car. Provides a solid surface for eating or working. Simple, solid construction that was well thought out to increase usefulness. It's pretty too - much nicer than other plastic versions I've seen. Works in two different positions for different uses. May need to rotate the steering wheel for proper fit. You might also need to adjust your seat position and/or the steering wheel position for optional angle/usage. While that's a little bit of a hassle, it's not like you would be using this while driving and if you have memory seats, it's easy enough to return to your preferred driving position. I personally won't use on a daily basis, but think it'll be handy on road trips or when I have to spend a bit too much of my workday in the car. For the price, I think it's worth it.

I was very pleasantly surprised at this “table”. The table is very light weight bamboo yet very strong and sturdy. The table easily fits a round steering wheel when it has an open side. The last two pictures show what in mean, as you turn the wheel for the open on the top for the compute angled table, and turn the opening to the bottom for the flat food tray style. It is so easy to use and in my truck (not pictured) is where it lives all week long. I am able to sit straight in my seat facing forward and type on my IPAD for much longer than I was able when i had to twist to the side and use the center console. OBVIOUSLY YOU CAN NOT DRIVE WITH THIS IN PLACE. It’s used when parked ONLY. The top mount side of the table has a small lip that has a rubber edge and that both supports and protects the laptop from sliding off. When you flip the table and mount it from the bottom of the wheel you have the table top side with a cup holder. You can use either side to write and there are holes through the board to hold a pen if needed. The rubber/foam is secure to the slots and it protects your steering wheel and makes for a non-slip mount on the steering wheel. I am so happy to have found this as it makes a tremendous difference in my ability to use my IPad throughout the work day and do my bits and pieces instead of waiting to get home and spend a long stretch of time working at the desk. If you're getting it to use at an angle like the picture with the laptop it works fine as it has support on the steering wheel. If you want to use the food option to have it straight you have to use the board on the bottom of the wheel. The board on the bottom of the wheel has no support. I got this to use as a food tray.. the tray ends up in my lap.. that's too far down to be of any use might as well just use my own lap at that point.
