I've had many, more expensive, audio interfaces that either broke within the first six months or just sounded awful from day one. This one provides a crisp sound with no buzzing and has continued to do so for over a year now. I would definitely recommend this for a home setup.

This product is designed to look like Scarlett products on purpose. THIS IS NOT A FOCUSRITE. It does not integrate with ASIO drivers and cannot be used as an official audio interface. This scam of a product can be purchased on Temu for $20

So this looks, feels and acts like a Scarlett 2i2. It may be a bit lighter weight-wise, but i doubt that means anything. The whole unit is very durable with all metal construction and solid plastic knobs. All of the jacks are nice and stiff with no wiggle or loose connections and everything seems to work as it should. Some people have complained of a hum, but i don't notice any of that... maybe they have some ground-loop issues, but none i've noticed on my end. Recording-wise, this works very well. While the interface doesn't come with any software of it's own, it seems to plug-and-play with any DAW you've got. I run StudioOne for some projects and Logic X for most others, and it works just fine with both, no issues. The phantom power provides more than enough juice for any powered mic and there's gain to go around for even the weakest signal path. As far as audio reproduction goes, i have no complaints. Everything comes through as clear as i want it to be with no coloring or anything like that. I use this in my travel rig with a laptop, multi-effects/amp modeler for the guitar, and a couple mics and it works great. I can just hook it up when i need it for on-the-fly recording or patch it into my live rig for recording shows. And i'm not gonna die if it breaks as it's easily replaced at this price-point.

I hate that I sound condescending calling this a "beginner" interface...but really, I mean it as a compliment. There are very simple break-out boxes available in the under $50 range and they are a TERRIBLE value - you spend your money on something you will outgrow the minute you understand what you are doing. This is several steps above that for just a bit more of an investment. This does not come with any software but it seems compatible with most any PC based DAW you would have. It is a no-frills setup which means while you don't have a lot of features, you also don't have to study a War-and-Peace sized manual to get going. My spouse is a full-time, professional vocalist (I'm a recording engineer)...I got this for her because she needed something super basic and small that she could hook up to a laptop for quck demos - she loves it. In the time it takes me to power on my system, she's able to just plug-and-play on this thing. You aren't getting state-of-the-art A/D converters in a $99 breakout box...but what you do get far exceeds the investment.

Yes, if you have any type of interface for recording you are going to recognize this as being almost like another brand. But let's talk about installation. Some of you will have no problem using this as a plug and play. Others will need to take steps to properly connect to your device. For some, you may want to hook it to your laptop or desktop before turning the computer on, that way the install wizard will automatically recognize a new device and install it. Also, depending on what DAW you are using, you want to make sure to go into your preferences and make sure that this interface is listed. It will be listed as USB Audio Interface. If you are in fact trying this out on your home studio then chances are you already have the ASIO4ALL already installed. If not, you need to look for it on the net and install it. Now I'm not sure what happened during my hookup, but I in fact had to restart my computer twice before everything in my system recognized and assigned the new device. Once that took place, I could use this interface and my original interface back and forth without having to do any re-assigning within the DAW software. I do like the fact that this USB did have the newer USB-C connection with a USB adapter in case you were still using your standard USB cord to connect. As with all new hardware devices, be patient, troubleshoot by going into your computers audio mixer and testing out your new device to insure that it is working properly. In your DAW you may have to also look under TOOLS for the preference tab or under HELP and then tab down to Preferences, then Audio Devices. Once hooked up, it was really hard for me to tell the difference between my two interfaces as far as sound quality. I haven't put it through it's paces just yet, but if anything out of the ordinary occurs, I will update this review. So far in my opinion this interface is solid construction and will hopefully produce recordings and music just as good of quality as some of it's higher priced competitors. Best of luck to all. Thank you.

I'm using this in conjunction with a Soyuz Launcher, Mackie Mixer and Electrovoice RE-20 to record a national radio broadcast. The sound is very good, and with a little EQ, I've found the sweet spot for my voice. Noise floor with my setup is unnoticeable. I assemble the music and VO's in Garage Band and for my needs it works perfectly. Also small enough to fit in a backpack with my gear when traveling and recording remotely. Good stuff!

When I got this I thought it was a scarlet 2i2 mixer. Well I was wrong lol I got a shure sm7b the sound cloud but I was pleased with this 2i2 even if I thought it was something else lol. This seems to be very good for the price but it has no software with is a bummer but you can always adjust manually so its great for the price 👍
