Great value and versatile design. Adjustable height and lightweight. I needed something for my seedlings when they are first transplanted out of my hydroponic garden system. I transplant to small pots and let them harden. The extra light gave the plants what they needed during springtime when getting enough natural light can be tough with the weather. This light is perfect and height can be adjusted as the plants grow.

The light spectrum seems to promote growth of seedlings. I wish it came with a timer. I added a simple electric timer to maximum the growth cycle and give the plants a rest. My large plastic bins fit underneath and the lights are tall enough and you can adjust them downward, if needed.

It is ridiculously simple to set up - it took less than 5 minutes with LONG, fake nails on and no tools. My plants seem to be loving the light and my peppers are finally popping up! It’s very easy to adjust the height on each side, so that it can be close to the plants.

This was perfect for what I needed. The right specifications for growing and it doesn’t get hot. I put it on a timer and my vegetables are sprouting after 4 days. Assembled in 5 minutes and easy to raise and lower the light.

The frame is quite flimsy. My husband fixed this by building a wooden base which made it 100% sturdy. The lights are very effective. Within 24 hours I had all types of seeds sprouting. It was definitely because of the light because before that, the seeds were not getting enough.

We shall see how this produces. I also bought a heat matte. So with this grow light I have a 10 x 20 heat matte and silicon seed starters. Plan to start tomatoes and cucumbers March 1 with a transplant to my outside garden around May 8th. I am zone 5A.

I start a lot of seeds indoors to extend our short growing season and am always looking for a way to add some grow space. This light is just right for a flat of plants, tucks neatly into a small space, is easily adjustable for height, and is the most sturdy little plant stand I've found yet. It's also very easy to assemble.

After reading the reviews I was worried this thing would fall over under a light breeze. It's not the most sturdy thing but it's fine and the whole system feels much more stable if you get the screw/nut pairs really tight and put rubber feet (search terms: self stick door bumpers or clear rubber feet, amazon sells them) on the bottom of each metal foot to prevent the feet from sliding on a slick counter or table. I just finished reading Gardening Under Lights and wanted to get light very close to my seedlings: this does that. I live in a nyc apartment and want to grow lettuce into the fall and winter through covid. A seed starting setup seemed like enough supplemental light that I could do that on a windowsill IF the fixture were narrow enough for my 8" windowsills: which it is and no other seed-starting grow light setup on amazon is (circa July 2020). Everything else requires much more depth than my windowsill. Make sure you get yourself a timer as well. This would also be a good unit to break down and store in the non-seed-starting-season for folks without a dedicated space. It's really very compact in the box.
