I just recently built my own standing desk using a butcher block counter top as my desk top. I screwed these threaded nut inserts into the butcher block to mount the butcher block to the standing desk frame. The screws are cheap and some of the heads are off-center, but incredibly happy with how sturdy the nut inserts are. If you are paranoid type, you could always purchase the screws separately though.

Great method to attach metal legs to a wooden table rather than screwing directly into the wood. worked perfectly.

I bought these to mount an air cooled VW engine stand and various power tools to a wooden bench. They hold very well and allow me to have a more modular design on the bench. The install was easy and they work great. I can quickly change my entire bench set up to match the project im working on.They fit flush just in case I only need a flat work space. Saves a lot of money, time, and space.

I got these to secure a desktop, that I made, to a set of electric lift desk legs. I wanted something that would have longer life than just simply screwing the legs directly to the wood. These are great, particularly if you think that you might need to unscrew things in the future and then screw them back together.

design works great but hex bolts are made from soft metal and head strips easily under medium torque

I've been working on a walnut slab table and needed a way to mount some legs. These did the trick. I used a step drill so the screws would set a little deeper. They sit about 1/4" higher than flush if they bottom out.
