I used these for my wooden drum stands and they worked well. I drilled a 3/8" hole for these threaded inserts. The package came with 32 set of threaded inserts and two hex wrenches, all stored in a plastic container. I used wood glue to help secure the anchor. Just don't over tighten it. I highly recommend this product.

These seem like reasonable quality insert sets. Each pair includes an insert threaded on the inside and on the outside, which you can screw into wood, and a 1/4-20 bolt which fits into the inner threads of the insert. The kit includes Allen wrenches for both the bolts and the inserts. Unlike some inserts, these can only be driven with an Allen wrench, not a slotted screwdriver.The finish is decent and they performed well for me. The packaging is not ideal: an open plastic box in which everything rattles around loose, and the labeling, on which the gold-toned inserts seem to be declared “carbon steel”, are a little off-putting, but otherwise the quality seems great for the price.

I'm a retired electronics technician. Over the past 40 years, I have built a combination woodshop/ machine shop in the basement. As such, I'm often tasked with building a jig that sits on my table saw or CNC router table that holds a piece of wood or metal to be machined or shaped if I'm making more than just a few of them. This greatly speeds "production" when I'm making product to sell at shows. These threaded inserts are super handy for this, as they can be screwed flush into a piece of high end plywood to attach a small fence or cam to hold the piece. Inexpensive, and these work well. Five stars.

Feel well made, heavy duty almost. Great that the kit comes with the case, inserts, bolts, and wrenches. All for a decent price.Only negative I noticed was there is no information about what hole size to drill. I know it depends on the type of wood you are using, but it would have been helpful to include some direction.I'm no carpenter, but I've done a little research to try and figure it out. Hopefully it helps. Use info at your own risk.For softer wood: 8.5mm - 9mm or 11/32" - 23/64"For harder wood: 9.5mm or 3/8"Basically the harder the wood, the larger the drill hole.

I used these threaded inserts for a 3D printing project called Raz's monitor stand which combines 3D printed parts with a standard MDF shelf to make a nice customizable monitor stand. These threaded inserts are the perfect ones to use since they don't go all the way through the MDF shelf and they fit with the 3D printed parts without extra modification. This threaded insert kit comes with the tools you need to install them but not the drill bit. I've tried a few different brands of these threaded inserts and this brand is one of the better ones. The case they come in is much higher quality than other brands I've used and the finish of the inserts is better with these. Overall, these are good threaded inserts and fit exactly as expected. 10/10
