Great first aid kit for your car, truck or RV. We have this kit in all three. Have only used once for a small cut, and the items needed were in there and able to bandage up and get back to work. Compact, a wide variety of items and works well.

Things I liked:Everything and more that you would need.Info sheet explaining how to address certain emergencies.Everything seemed to have good qualityPack doesn’t weigh muchThings that could make it better:I wish there was a booklet that went through everything in the pack explaining how to use the items. For example, how to use the fire starter or how to tie a good knot for the fishing stuff. It seems obvious that people should know this stuff but I for one had to consult YouTube in order to figure out how to use the saber card.Things I didn’t like:I really really really hated the blue tweezers. Felt cheap, looked cheap, and performed cheap. Especially when you get a multi tool with the pack that has pliers.I feel the flashlight should have came with a battery. Most things nowadays are either rechargeable or come with a battery. Not a huge deal and maybe even picky but it was something that I noticed.I was not a fan of how everything was just shoved in and didn’t have any organization. The last thing you want in an emergency is to open that and have everything fly out like a jack in the box. Let alone have to dig through to find the thing you need. When we go into fight or flight we loose the ability to use fine motor skills. Trying to dig through and find what you need is a waste of time and a hassle. Maybe giving everything a compartment would help with this.Overall, for the money, it is a good pack. It will definitely do what it needs to. Yes, there are some issues but everything does. I would recommend this but be mindful that some reorganizing and/removing certain items (ones you have a lot of or will never use based on the purpose of this).

I originally bought this kit for a cross-country road trip with several hiking expeditions I had planned, and had a good opportunity to test it out.My first observation was how much medical supplies were included. I actually ended up deviding them and leaving some in my home first aid kit. Very satisfied with that. The case itself was tightly packed, but I could still fit in some of my own supplies, (matches, batteries, even a light-stick) and even a little more after removing the surplus medical items. The material held up well, and was a perfect size for my bookbag. Also satisfied with that. I did not get to use the tools much, but they seem sturdy enough to use, and while small, are a good size for a survival kit. The knife was sharp and ready to use. I feel satisfied knowing I have those available in my pack.Initially, I was a little concerned about the compass. I tried it out at home and while it did point north, it has some difficulty floating and requires some manipulation to get it to point in the right direction. I tried repolarizing the needle, but it is only a problem with the floater, not the magnetism itself. HOWEVER, once I did need to use it out in the forest though, it allowed me to find my way back to my car. Not perfect, but good enough to serve it's purpose. I am happy to have it included in the kit.Lastly, I was very impressed with the flashlight. I found myself hiking out in the wild after nightfall a couple of ocassions, and from the first time my old flashlight stopped working. As soon as I pulled out the flashlight in the survival kit and installed the batteries, I was immediately impressed with how bright it was. I was even able to light the way back to the car for my friends while sitting on top of a rock formation, atleast 500 feet away. Very impressive. I ended up using the flashlight every time for the rest of the trip. I do wish the light were more white rather than blue, but otherwise, I am extremely satisfied with it. It got me out of several otherwise difficult situations.Overall, very happy and satisfied with the survival kit. Definitely worth the buy, ALOT of value for the money.

I’ve looked around Amazon for the best bang for your buck first aid kit and this is probably the best value for $24. You get essential medical items in addition to survival items like a multitool, folding knife, firestarter, compass, fishing kit, whistle, wire saw, and metal multitool card. All the medical items are straightforward and are a good start for a medic kit and can be added to. I only wish they had a larger variety for the adhesive bandages as they only give you a roll of your standard size. The flashlight is bright but doesn’t come with the AA battey it needs, compass works, firestarter might take a few tries but it sparks, multitool is sturdy, card is good metal, and the fishing kit contains much of what you’d find in similar emergency kits. The way the contents comes in the package is a little disorganized and I would recommend transferring the survival items to another place such as a bugout bag to make room for more medical supplies in the case. Overall, this is one of the best kits i’ve seen for the price and I highly recommend it.
