Initially found it difficult. Once you learn the trick it was very easy.

It's a pole saw that works. The flimsiness is just right (in case the blade gets pinched). Longer the pole is extended, the likely more work and strength you'll need. If you broke the handle, it's probably because the blade got pinched by the limb you are trying to cut and you used your entire weight to try to pull the blade out of the tree (don't do that, find a better way and use your brain). Also make sure everything is screwed in well, then recheck occasionally when using. The pole saw takes some muscle and patience, so be mentally prepared.

I have some very big trees with the lowest branches being around 20 ft off the ground. Blade is sharp. Length is perfect for my needs. Good arm workout.

We’ve only had this saw a week and we’ve already dropped about a dozen limbs that would have cost us an arm and a leg to have someone do for us.The saw is a bit cumbersome to use at its full extension as the pole has some flex it in, but if you can get it hooked on the branch in question, you can use gravity to help you on the downward pull to get going. It’s amazing how the rounded blade is really made for this work. It’s even much easier than using a regular straight saw in a workshop. The blade is still going strong - as long as I store it properly, I think I’ll get years out of this piece of kit. Would recommend, especially for the price.A word of warning, it can be easy to cross thread the pieces if there is weight on either piece, so go slow and steady when connecting them. We now have two pieces that are stuck together so will need to be stored out of the bag, but that’s my fault for rushing it when I knew it was pinching!!If you’re taking down particularly long or heavy limbs, I would recommending looking up how to do that without damaging the tree (either undercut a bit and/or make the initial cut further out on the limb so the weight doesn’t strip the bark when it comes away, then come back and clean up the branch stump you’ve left on the tree - much easier without all the weight).I included some pics to show the clean cuts I was able to achieve. This is from a ladder with about a 10 ft pole on the saw.Of course, it goes without saying, take all relevant safety precautions and have someone spot you, help with ropes, etc - falling branches ain’t no joke.

This is a great tool for those high branches. You will need to have strong arms to hold this pruner and have good balance with your arms because it will shift on you. My arms got tired after cutting 2 branches 25 feet high within 5 minutes. Take a rest and go back later to prune some more branches from the tree. It is worth the money to cut the branches down. The professionals will charge big bucks to cut the branches.

First, I would say that I would buy this again. Poles are long (longer than you can probably use) and pretty sturdy for the height. Blade is sharp. Extra blade is great to have and one of the reasons why I bought this product as compared to competition. Carry bag is essential as you approach the trees to get the correct height on the pole. Cutting high branches takes work so be prepared but that is to be expected and is manageable if you want a good shoulder/arm workout. Once I got "started" I found more and more low or dead branches to cut (some quite high). Very addicting. Also, the hooks on each end of the blade are essential for ease of cutting but also VERY helpful to grab dead vines on trees to pull down. The reason I only gave it four stars is because, on the second day, the rubber bottom and mid pole grip handle on the lowest pole both came off (I couldn't find them in the woods). At first I thought I left that pole section on the ground as I modified the pole height periodically but then (after looking around for them for a while) I realized they had just slid off since that end of the pole had no metal connector piece like the others. You don't really need the grips but they should have been more securely attached so a one star "demerit."Overall, very glad I bought this!

Produit de qualité, permet de couper des branches de plus de 4 pouces aisément, la lame est de qualité et vous en avez une en rechange. Cela servira pour plusieurs années. C’est lourd quand vous utilisez toutes les sections.

I feel pretty conflicted on this one. It was the only way we were taking out a problem branch that was 30 feet in the air, but when it's fully extended it is incredibly heavy, and when you're sawing back and forth at full length it tends to bow in and out. That takes a lot of energy out of your motion, and when it's a thick, oak branch, it's extremely cumbersome at full length.I mean, it got the job done and I don't know how else I would have done it, but it was awful. I think this thing really shines when you've got just three of the sections connected. Doesn't bow at that length and feels really solid. The saw portion is excellent. I've used many polesaws and limb saws and the saw on this was one of the best. Felt pretty similar to a Silky in use. Plus you get two saws! I also like the carrying bag. Much more portable than a telescoping saw.I ended up with a section with messed up threading and it doesn't thread together very well and gets pretty stuck. Rest of the sections are fine.

This tree saw works great. Its got a great blade and is able to reach the tallest branches. However, its isn't light or easy to handle once all of the extensions are used. I've had to use all the extension but one and its heavy and hard to handle to get off the ground and into the tree. Its probably best to have 2 people to get it up off the ground but it was doable by just me. But once its up on the branch that needs to come down, it makes quick work of the job. Its well made with the tubes made of sturdy fiber glass (maybe carbon composite?) with metal screw fittings to attach one to another. It also comes with a spare blade and a great duffle bag to store everything neatly. I would have had to call a tree service for many hundreds of dollars and instead, this only cost a bit over $100 and did the job quickly and easily.
