This is a sturdy gate. The material is high quality and it was fairly easy to put together once I cut everything down to size. There is no sign of rust despite two months outside and a lot of snow.It didn't come with a latch, hinges, or posts, as stated in the listing, but those were easy enough to find at my local hardware store.I'm going to warn you that you will need tools to put this fence together. Parts need to be physically cut down to size. That can be a lot for some people but this gate is great if you have an odd-sized area to block off.

It's a very sturdy, well-made gate but my husband wasn't happy about having to cut the mesh to size and buy extras (like hinges) to make it usable.

Overall, I really like this metal fence gate. It came well-packaged and required some assembly, but it was easy to put together and feels quite sturdy. The components are all metal, which is what I wanted for my gate. I have had it out in the humidity, rain, wind, and snow - and so far haven't noticed any rusting. It didn't come with hinges, which is one of the main downsides of this set, but it doesn't advertise any and they were easy enough to find at my local hardware store. Quite happy with it!

I posted photos of the components of this “gate kit” because I wasn’t sure exactly what I would get until I opened the box. I was able to put this gate together, mostly by myself, in less than a hour following the instructions. And I was able to cut both the top and bottom parts of the frame from only one of the straight rails because my gate was 40” wide. I clamped the rail in a vice and used a reciprocating saw to cut it because it was a little faster than using a hacksaw. It all fit together easily but I did need a little help when it came to putting the last 3 clips on the side; my husband pulled the flat bar close enough to the side rail so I was able to push the clips over it. We were replacing an existing gate so I was able to reuse the hardware.

If the gate is going to be shorter the poles must be cut and some wires on the chain link need to be removed. The fence has the clips to hold the chain link in place on all sides. It must not be loose. I used 2 large cans of Rustoleum paint to change the silver to black.

This is made with good quality materials, assembly needed, however very simple to put together and takes no time at all. Only wish it came with the hinges, but not a deal breaker! Excellent size, perfect for walkways or to keep animals in or out of the yard.
