Allen screws have a cup tip that creates a thin edge that can penetrate into hard surfaces for a secure hold.
The fastener is headless and contains an internal hex driver. Use an Allen wrench (hex key) as needed to secure it with the required torque.
While they are typically used on machinery, they can also be found in homes where they are used to secure window cranks to window operators or to secure interior door handles to spindles. Length is measured from the top of the fastener to the bottom of the cup tip.
