inserting toggle channel into drywall step 1

Mark the location and use a 1/2" drill bit to carefully create a hole for the toggle channel (do not over-drill). Insert the steel channel.

pull ring of toggle strap and slide plastic cap along straps until cap is flush with wall

Ensure the channel is seated flat against the interior wall. Pull on the ring-end of the toggle and slide the flange towards the wall until flush.

apply pressure on cap and flange and break of toggle straps

Position your finger on the plastic flange and apply pressure while bending the straps up and down until each strap snaps off (discard).

place fixture or mounting bracket over flange and screw in bolt to secure

Place fixture over flange and insert bolt through the fixture hole and into the toggle. Tighten until it is snug against the fixture. Do not over-torque.

Important:

Toggle anchors are designed to break off by segments depending on grip range / wall depth. Improper installation is known for the plastic straps to break off prematurely. Remember to pull the ring-end of the toggle straight back with as little jolting as possible when sliding the cap flush to the wall.

I have been in the handyman, construction, renovation, and Facilities Technician industry for the better part of 15 years, and there is nothing more frustrating than a snap toggle that cannot withstand the tension of being pulled taught, and promptly shatters before insertion of the screw/bolt. "Titan Anchors", when I ordered a pack of 100, never let me down, even once, and this was tested over the span of the last few months as the lead Facilities Technician for a major military defense contractor. When you are tasked with hanging equipment worth thousands upon hundreds of thousands USD, you need a snap toggle you can rely on in both weight retention, ease of use, and design implementation. "Titan Anchors" has the most ingenious and flexible plastic "metal anchoring channel" I've ever seen, that fits the toggle apparatus through a 1/2" drilled hole perfectly. It is infuriating how many different toggle bolts I have been through in my life that claim a 1/2" hole will accept the channel, only to get jammed and stuck immediately forcing the user to resize the hole which endangers how snug the plastic cap fits in the aperture, risking the continuity of the unit itself, and consequently whatever you are hanging. "Titan Anchors" has never failed me, on any level, in regard to holding the weight it claims it can (1/4 screw/bolt model) and fits famously into a 1/2 hole drilled through drywall, wood, or steel with a Forstner or spade bit, respectively. If you are serious about keeping something mounted, permanently, without a worry in regard to integrity of the unit, this anchor is the way to go. Best I've seen and used in 15 years; finally someone has got it right.

These are great quality, an excellent price point, work exactly as intended, easy to install, and we loved that. They offer such a range of sizes while being a small business that we can support. They fit the project perfectly, as any snap toggle would, but the quality of the screw, the plastic, and the packaging were all impeccable.

These are not cheap. They are also not very well made. After using a similar product from the big box hardware stores, I cannot recommend these. When you slide the plastic stabilizer down, it does not slide down very easily or uniformly (ie. both sides). You can't force it too hard, or you'll break the plastic. The most important flaw is that there is no guiding sleeve when you insert the bolt that is supposed to feed into the anchor. The name brand product has a metal circle that guides the bolt and makes sure it screws into the toggle anchor. The Titan product has a flimsy entry point and no guide. You can make it work but for the price point, it's not worth it. I broke off 2 or 3 before getting things to work. At that rate, it's much more expensive than going with the name brand stuff.****EDIT****Vendor reached out to me and offered to refund or replace the items. I increased my rating based on the customer service. I'll also add that when I was able to anchors successfully installed, they did perform.
