I'm a Millwright by trade and I use ball peen hammers daily. I use them to tap out pump gaskets and during the laser alignment. It's nice to have different sizes in one set. The smaller ones work great for gasket tapping. It leaves a clean cut and is more precise. I'll use the smaller and bigger hammers for my alignments. It really depends on the size/weight of the motor I'm trying to align to the pump. During the alignment, I'm trying to move a piece of equipment thousands of a inch. So I'll hold a ball peen on the motor foot and tap it with a larger hammer. Now, it's not recommended to hit to hammers together. Hardened materials can shatter and those pieces will come off at great velocity. So wear the proper safety PPE when do such things.I've put these hammers through a great deal of abuse and they have held up great. They're comfortable to work with and have been just as good as any other hammers I've used.

I have used these hammers several times during my automotive repairs already and they are great! You don't always want to use the biggest hammer for all jobs, so it's perfect to have smaller options depending on what's needed and makes the most sense. They are made well, you have a great grip and they look good. When you line them up in the tool box they look great and uniform since they are all matching. Couldn't be happier!

One of the tools I have always had in my tool cabinet is a claw hammer my grandfather gave me. While I always knew it wasn't the right tool for the job, it has taken part in many car repairs. I saw this set of ball peen hammers and knew it was time to upgrade to the right tool.Since there are five, I put two of them in my shop and kept the other 3 in my garage. The hammers are sturdily made and the handles are comfortable to use. I have found the 32oz hammer is especially good at dislodging stuck brake rotors. I definitely feel the difference between it and the 12oz claw hammer I mentioned before. I used the smallest hammer when forming aluminum sheets for the roof of our green house.Overall, this is an excellent set of hammers that allows you to use the right hammer for the job. At this price point, you can't go wrong.

Got these for some light metal working but the ball end is a little roughIt's not completely smooth and has some grooves and imperfectionsCan probably take some sandpaper or a grinder to it but still was hoping for a bit better quality
