The bus bar cover has little inserts in it where it fastens. They fall out while thinking they are one piece and they are gone forever. Then it fits very sloppy and they show their true country of origins normal quality.

If you look at the picture on the lower right, you will see the Positive and Negative busbar. They are working great and have yet to feel anything heating up. easy to mount and easy to use.

Worked great connecting my solar panels. Used two pair to connect 10 panels for a total of 250 watts.

Inspection and testing of the these Maierke busbars evidenced good form and finish with no manufacturing flaws. Nickle plating on the 1/8" thick brass bars appears to be of good quality. Tested threads all ran smoothly on both studs and screw terminals. Magnetic testing of studs and screw terminals evidenced weak magnetism consistent with 304 stainless steel, as indicated in the listing. Each 1/4" stud has a serrated flange nut, obviating the need for lock washers, and each screw terminal has both flat and split lock washers; all stainless steel. The busbars are 6 1/4" long and 15/16" wide (see picture relative to pen). The plastic busbar base appears to be a solid casting of high density ABS plastic, as indicated in the listing. Studs appear to be strongly molded into the solid plastic base. I test torqued some of the studs with more force than I would normally use to connect terminal fittings and the studs held firm. I also test torqued a few screw terminals with reasonable force and they checked out just fine. Note, the busbar is brass not steel, for conductivity, so you don't want to over torque the screws. At the bottom of the recessed base mounting holes fasteners bear against a 1/8" flange which should be reasonably strong (pictured). Some of the other reviewers said the bases on their busbars were flimsy/thin plastic but that is not the case with the two busbars I received. I'm not going to claim they are the most robust busbar bases I've ever seen but all indications are that they will serve well if installed with reasonable care regarding torque and physical loads. The protective covers on the other hand, which are erroneously described as a "dust cap" in the listing, are made of light, thin plastic (pictured). I wouldn't mount them in a location where they may be subject to sharp blows, like in a cockpit locker, because they might well crack or shatter. Note, these caps are intended to guard against short circuiting, they are not dust or waterproof as suggested rather absurdly in the listing.Included battery lugs are for 6 AWG cable and appear to be tinned copper. Ring terminals are for 14 or 16 AWG wire. Heat shrink tubing appears to be single wall (no adhesive lining). Included mounting screws are mild steel. I would replace them with stainless steel for marine applications.I'm removing one star mostly due to the flimsy protective covers. Higher quality busbars would have heavier protective covers and tin plated copper bars rather than nickel plated brass, although I doubt you could find tin plated copper anywhere at this price point. These busbars are not top quality but they are serviceable for many applications, when installed in a reasonable fashion (not physically overloaded or needlessly over torqued), and offer a good value.I'm going to use these busbars to collect wiring for a resistive dump load, composed of heavy ceramic resistors, to connect them to two heavier wires leading to a diversion load controller for wind turbine charge control on my sailboat. Amperages will be well within the busbar rating and they will be mounted in an protected area hence not subject to any sharp impacts so the flimsy protective covers are fine. I'm confident these busbars will serve well in that role.

I used this as a distribution block for car audio, i had 1/0 power coming in from battery and had multiple going out some 1/0 and some 4/0 outs and everything is wrking great, i feel like it was easier than the blocks with round inserts, i clamps a ring terminal on And easy as can be, i was unsure if it would be able to power 5 amps but no problem (2 skar rp2000.1, ds18 3000.4, ds18 1600.2, and ds18 1200.2 also have the black for ground i ran 2-1/0 grounds distribution to car and then to all amps mentioned, ran 2-1/0 to each skar 2000.1(. 4 total+1-4/0!to each ds18
